How to Overcome Your Fear

Do not let the fear of living stop you from living...

I'm not aware of the specific dream you hold, and it doesn't matter how disappointing it may have been as you've been working towards it. But let me share something I know: that dream you hold in your mind is possible. Sometimes we can't confidently say, "I can do that," but we can say it's possible. I can achieve my dream by relentlessly pursuing it, day in and day out.

Most people fail to work on their dreams, and fear is often the reason. It's the fear that prevents you from becoming what you truly desire, from attaining what you truly want. It's the fear that hinders your accomplishments because it keeps you scattered and unfocused.

Success is a solitary road, my friend. Along this journey, you won't see many companions. Most often, you'll be alone with your own shadow. Trust your heart of hearts that what you're doing, what you believe in, is a worthy cause and a winnable fight.

I wish I could tell you to take a break when you're tired. I wish I could say, "Rest for a year." I wish I could promise that it will get easier. I wish I could assure you that the weight will become lighter if you just keep going.

But here's the truth: when you reach the point where enough is enough, where it hurts so much, where it seems over, that's when it all begins. However, you must not quit during this process. Don't give up just because you can't see immediate results. Don't give in. Push through!

Fear is the reason for failure. You, on the other hand, have chosen to be here. There may come a day when you find yourself wishing that a loved one had never existed. Will they return? I don't know. The battle is between you and yourself.

There is no one else standing in your way. I've heard every excuse, from feeling too small to being too slow, too weak, or incapable of a comeback. But this is what it takes. This is the sacrifice required for greatness. Dedication to the small things, attention to the little details. Aim small, and you'll miss small, for even small steps can conquer mountains.

So why would you skip that workout? Why would you give up on that last rep? Why would you cheat on that meal? Why wouldn't you give it your all? That's called effort. Time stops for no one. You have one chance at this thing called life, and it's up to you to make it happen. You choose how to spend every minute of your day. No one else has that power. So, why do we fall?

Do you fear death? Do you think it makes you strong? No, it makes you weak. What empowers you is the ability to move faster than possible, fight longer than possible, driven by the most powerful impulse of the spirit—the fear of dying. But you must make the climb!

How? Just like a child, without any safety ropes. Then, fear will confront you again. If you go beyond being just a mere man, if you devote yourself to an ideal, to an idea, then, if they can't stop you, you'll become something entirely different. What does it mean? Rise!

When you do what you were born to do, what you were called to do, what you were destined to do, nobody can do it like you. Nobody can sing, speak, or write like you. Embrace yourself beyond your fears. Stop seeing yourself as a victim, and recognize that you are more important than any fear that holds you back. You are more powerful than your fears.

Most people make their fears more potent than they are, more powerful than their dreams or passions. Don't fall into that trap! Don't allow fear to overshadow your dreams. Believe in the possibility. Believe that you can live your dream. It's necessary. Work on yourself, be creative. It's up to you to make it happen. Remember, it's not over until you win.

When you have nothing left, when your money is depleted, when your energy is gone, and you feel completely drained, that's when it's showtime. That's when you find a way out of nowhere. Breathe when there's no breath left. Tap into energy that didn't exist before. When you want something as much as you want to breathe, that's when you discover a way.

Go after it and give it your all. Even if you fail, at least you can say you tried. Failure is far better than the regret of never trying. Failure is what shapes success. Face your fears, fall down, and get back up. That's what creates a champion. That negative energy, that fear, destroys, but it returns as confidence!

Behind every fear lies the person you aspire to be. When you confront your fears, they can either shape you or destroy you. Fear is self-imposed. It doesn't actually exist. You create it, and you can also destroy it. It's intangible. When you face your fears, you realize they're not as monumental as they seemed. You'll be amazed at how small they truly are. Confronting your fears allows you to become the person you aspire to be. Running from your fears means you're merely existing, not truly living in freedom.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure." Don't be afraid to fail. In everything I've ever attempted, I was always willing to fail. Don't let the fear of failure paralyze you, or you'll never push yourself. Failure should never be avoided because it means you didn't push hard enough. Work tirelessly! Believe in leaving no stone unturned. No pain, no gain. You define success, not the other way around.

Dig deep down and ask yourself, "Who do I want to become?" Don't think, feel! Envision yourself facing and handling your fears. Believe that you are more than capable. A special thanks to Craighead Productions.

When you change the way you perceive things, you'll notice a change in what you see.
