We all have been there; seeing someone who is doing very well in life, we tend to ask ourselves:

“What am I doing wrong?”

This is why social media gain so much attention from us by flexing the “dream life” almost everyone want to have.

In my path, I had moments when I wondered if I was doomed for life for the life of scarcity I was living.

Living paycheck to paycheck, constantly worrying about money, and seeing everyone building a good life put me down until I understood that everything is a phase and a learning opportunity.

Everyone feels envy, its a normal feeling, but the way we use it is what determine how good we are going to do in our path.

I will share five tips on how you can change your perspective from envy and boost your life towards outstanding results.

1- It is all an illusion

Understand this: no one on this earth is happy all the time and has everything all the time.

Choices are there to be practiced; if people had it all, they didn’t need to choose.

Most of the time, the perfect life people show around is a lie, and they seek validation because they believe they will be liked only if they flex on social media.

2- Your attention is yours

The time you spend watching other people’s lives on social media is a wasted time you could use for your growth.

Looking back, I see how much time I wasted looking at others’ lives and not living mine.

3- Change envy to admiration

If you need to be like the person and want what they have, the best thing is to study what the person did and follow their success idea.

Changing the envy in your heart to admiration will make you take thousands of steps in life.

4- Use envy as a fuel

The next time you envy someone, use it as a motivation and ask yourself:

What am I doing to provoke this feeling? What do I need to improve?

And start to take action right away toward your goals.

5- Your words of condemnation

Whenever I was focused on talking bad about someone I believed had more than I did, I delayed my future.

Envy makes you believe that the person you are envying must have failed or done something wrong, so we can validate your belief that their success is based on a lie.

Whenever you get suspicious or try to find the failure of wealthy and successful people, you affirm that money and success are based on lies, which enforce your beliefs and keep those things away from you.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Takeaways

Know that what is meant to be yours will be yours.

Every time you focus on others, you forget yourself.

Use envy as fuel by pursuing what is aligned with you and living others’ lives.

Admire who has achieved what you want and learn from them.
