Beat Burnout Without Putting Your Life On Hold
I've read dozens of articles from medical experts on burnout. I knew it was something I was starting to deal with, but mentioning the "b" word suddenly makes everyone look at you like you're priceless collectible falling off a high shelf. I'm tired. I'm burnt out. I'm not going to break into hysterics.

How Having a “Highfalutin” Job Title Can Actually Work Against You in Your Career
Overview As a strategic management professor and consultant, I try not to rely too heavily on my own stories from a 30-plus year career (yes, that does tell you, dear reader, that I am of “a certain age”). However, a recent news story really struck a chord with me, as it was on point with my own experience.

My Most Anticipated Movie of 2022
As someone who became an Austen fan (or I should say obsessed, crazy fan) relatively recently, this was the first movie adaption that I followed throughout the announcement of the movie to the actual release date. When I found out that they were making a new Persuasion movie I was most excited, especially because Henry Golding was going to be in it, but when I say my heart hurts after watching just the trailer- I'm not even kidding.

How I Met Your Mother
Let me take you back to the first week of September, 1993. I saw this girl during orientation week at university. We were on a school bus on the way to a bar for a drink fest (this was back when schools allowed and even sponsored these sorts of things). She was standing in the aisle, one hand on a seatback, the other pushing her hair behind her ear. She was talking with her friends, or maybe just some random people, it was hard to tell. She looked happy though.

The Music Died
Dragging a brush through my hair sent screams of agony ringing through the house. Nothing was worse than the sharp bits of the brush tangling my hair until it wrapped into one huge mess. My Long ringlets became one big ringlet, a scrambled mess after a restless night’s sleep. Those mornings following a few drinks at the pub the night before were even worse.

5 Episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants where I hated Patrick
If you were born after 1990, chances are you have seen SpongeBob SquarePants as a kid. One of the most popular shows on Nickelodeon, SpongeBob is currently the fifth longest running animated show. We all know about the titular character; As mentioned in the show's popular theme song, he lives in a pineapple under the sea, he has a pet snail named Gary, he works as a fry cook at The Krusty Krab, and he loves to go jellyfishing. Most of all, he loves to spend time with his friends, especially his best friend Patrick Star. Patrick lives in a rock on the same block and SpongeBob and Squidward. He has won the hearts of kids and grownups alike with his comic relief, stupidity, etc. But there are some times where the potbellied sea star can be a huge jerk. Without further ado, Here are 5 episodes of SpongeBob where I hated Patrick. (Don't get me wrong, Patrick is one of my favorite characters on the show, but there are times where he is cruel. And he currently has a spin-off called The Patrick Star Show)

Underneath it all
The Un-Experiment - Post #2 Underneath It All I love to laugh. There is something so freeing about releasing pent-up emotions by full-on belly laughing. I’m talking doubled over with tears streaming down my face. Or just a burst of laughter or even a simple chuckle over something I’ve watched or read.

Rush
"Sure, Chris, I can lather some suntan lotion on your chest," I said as Captain A smiled. He was so handsome and, omg, single. I was going to make sure he saw me as relationship material. I started to slather suntan lotion all over his chest. He gave me a flirty look and lifted his hand towards my face. He sat up as I leaned in. Yes! This is it! I'm about to kiss Captain A! I was so ready. I pursed my lips, closed my eyes, and slowly went in for the kiss as......Bzzzz, Bzzzz, Bzzzz "Lana! Where are you?!! We were supposed to meet an hour ago. I've been trying to reach you. Please let me know you are ok!!"

A Story Behind Jimi Hendrix Star Spangled Banner
The stars and planets were in alignment on August 15, 1969. People carried tents, backpacks, coolers, blankets, children, and pets. They pulled wagons. And anything else that could be handy for camping or creating a new civilization. No one was selling tickets. The entrance gates had been torn down.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022) - Movie Review
The latest entry into the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise is a bumpy one, although not entirely awful, there are plenty of gross gore effects. Leatherface himself looks terrifying and is equally deadly. Because of this, the horror in general is very well executed, characters die painfully, within seconds of meeting this lunatic. There really is no escape, as Leatherface knows his hometown like the back of his hand, while all of these strangers run around like headless chickens, unable to escape from death's grip! Acting wise, people genuinely look terrified when Leatherface charges for them. So with all of these intense thrills, what is it exactly that makes Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022) a mixed horror movie rather than a perfect slasher?

What should loving yourself mean for you
Loving yourself is vitally important, but it's also a process that takes time. As much as we'd all like to say that you can magically transform into someone who loves themselves overnight, the fact is that loving yourself takes time and effort—and it's not easy. The Subconscious Subway
The first thing the man felt was the rattle of his head against the window behind him. The first thing the man heard however, was much less familiar. It was a high pitched repeating beep, as foreign to him as stepping into one’s childhood home, only to find that that home now belongs to a new family,

Write Here, Write Now: A Vocal Podcast
When I asked Vocal creator RJ Wade whether she found a commitment to writing early on in her life, or whether the development of her gift was a slower burn, her response was immediate and powerful. “It was right away, and it was full-blown and passionate,” she said of her love affair with the written word.

Why You Should Stop Being An Asshole Toward Yourself
Every person on our planet has their worst critic. Someone who makes their lives miserable with constant negativity, insults, doubt, guilt-tripping and does nothing to help said person’s mental health. Often times that person is a close family member or even a “friend”.

Natural and Normal: Not Gender Specific
I always knew this day would come, and I honestly always knew how I would react to this situation. My dad would be livid with me if he was still alive, but I surprisingly don't give a shit. The majority of my family members would reactively respond as well, and something small and unproblematic would be escalated to an insane and ridiculous level. However, I don't have a problem with it and I don't care. They could list off examples of what one small action is going to do to "damage" my child's psyche, but it won't happen.
