My Review of "Locked Down"
Locked Down is one of the newest movies of 2021 to explain our 2020 experience. It's one of the few big releases from HBO Max. In a sense the antics and realities in this movie feel all too real but that's part of the problem. We're still in lockdown and we kind of don't really want to be reminded that we're in lockdown if we're trying to escape into some fantasy. Or maybe the execution of this movie was far from what I was expecting.

My Review of "Kickin' It Old School"
Kickin' It Old School came out back in 2007. It's a fun idea that could work in theory but the execution of the whole film made me a little queasy. There are a ton of wrong in this movie, namely corniness and bad acting. By today's standards this movie would require a ton of editing because there is so many social norms of today that would not allow this film from being released.

My Review of "Wandavision: Episodes 1 and 2"
Wandavision Episodes 1 and 2 have recently come out on Disney Plus. It's a highly anticipated series since the Marvel universe has been pretty quiet for a good year now because of the pandemic. Disney you have to keep your fans happy or else you'll start to lose the hype that you guys had with End Game. There was the new Spiderman movie but that was a while ago.

My Review of "Honey, I Shrunk The Kids"
Honey, I Shrunk The Kids is a family friendly movie that came out back in 1989. I remember loving this movie back in the day. Seeing it now brought back tons of nostalgia and reminded me of all the fads of the 80's. Even more surprising to me was the way that this movie was made. There was a ton of practical effects in this movie that are pretty impressive even by today's standards.

My Review of "Chris Rock: Total Blackout"
Chris Rock: Total Blackout came out as a new 2021 Netflix exclusive standup special. The thing is, it's not necessarily a new standup special. It's actually an extended version of Chris Rock: Tambourine. That special came out back in 2018. I could have swore I reviewed that special but it was probably before I came onto Vocal Media. It had a lot of insightful thoughts that are quite controversial in today's climate.

Farewell Donald
Donald I know it's a tough time for you and you have the ambition of a sociopathic athlete. When you're the leader of the free world it's kind of hard to avoid bad press. There were a few things that you did right, a few things you totally go wrong and some really ugly things that need not duplicated.

More sympathy for prisoners
Much of 2020 was a write-off. Seeing as the pandemic had swept around the world a lot of people didn't really do much. We moped around but we still had our luxuries; like going out, talking and conversing with friends and family and enjoying our own homes. Much of the people today believe they're imprisoned in their homes during the lockdown. Some are just realizing that it is affecting their mental health. What would you say if there are people suffering way worse than this?

My Review of "Lupin: Part I"
Lupin: Part I is the first half of the first season of Lupin. This story is based off of a famous French character, Arsène Lupin. This character is basically a gentleman burglar. It obviously would be very interesting to see this sort of character in 2021 when surveillance is a way of life now. To my surprise this TV series works pretty well.

Living in my living room
I found the weirdest time to buy a home. It was just after the huge market crash of 2008. I wasn't too sure what I was doing and there were a lot of people that had advised me not to do it. In the end I'm glad that I did it because it's really grown on me. This house has really become a real part of me after so many years and that's through tons of changes in my life and redesign.

My Review of "The High Note"
The High Note is a movie that came out quietly in 2020. It kind of got lost in the mess that was that year but it shouldn't have. This movie should have gotten a lot more recognition than it did. There's a glimpse into different perspectives that we don't normally see in movies. I thought the overall package was really well made. The ending has a weird and kind of unnecessary twist though.

My Review of "Magic Camp"
Magic Camp is a Disney Plus exclusive that came out in 2020. It's sort of a coming of age story that comes from a magic camp. The whole vibe of the movie screams School of Rock however there are are certain elements of the movie that differentiate these movies from one another. This movie for instance is targeting children whereas School of Rock targeted a general audience.

My Review of "The Kitchen"
The Kitchen is a very cool concept. It sort of reminds me of a similar idea with the movie Widows (2018). I loved Widows so I thought I'd get into this one just the same. It doesn't hurt that I'm a sucker for underdog stories. This had the potential to be a pretty good one.
