5 Tips To Stand Out As A Valuable Remote Worker
We live in a challenging time, where the pandemic has become an onset of a global market crisis, as well: so many people were laid off, and some of those who still have some job positions are overridden with worry and anxiety, struggling to make ends meet and wondering how will they live if they get fired soon.
Why 'Breaking Bad' Is The Best Show Ever And Why That Matters
Over the course of five years, Vince Gilligan and his friends have constructed a world piece by piece, with attention to detail worthy of a Faberge egg. They created a compelling protagonist, a deeply flawed yet charismatic genius. They built a business at which he had savant-like skills, and depicted the family that often drove him crazy. Then blurred lines between the two. And in that way created a life for Walter White that many of us can relate to.
Midnight Musings With BertenaPublished 2 years ago in GeeksJackass Forever: A Spoiler Free Review
To preface this review, I must state that Jackass has a special place in my heart. Many late nights were spent watching the Jackass crew perform their stunts and antics while I was growing up. It was one of myself, and my friend groups go to series for sleep overs or just to put something on. It was a series that I enjoyed and grew up with.

Sam H ArnoldPublished 2 years ago in FYI5 Well Known Musicians With Fruitful Careers Outside Music
When you picture a successful musician, one normally does not imagine them in any other situation aside from performing the craft they are known best for. After all, if you’re good at one thing, why commit to something else?
I, Reject
Let us take a trip back in time to 1998, the year of Fat Boy Slim’s The Rockafella Skank, Adam Sandler’s The Waterboy and arguably the greatest FIFA game of all time. It was also the year that saw the debut of one of my most cherished childhood TV shows, it is hard to believe how much time has passed since then.

Many people want to have money in their savings accounts. This allows them some type of financial stability. Then, if something happens, they have money to use for whatever needs to be done. Shelley WengerPublished 2 years ago in TraderThe Real Story Behind “A League of Their Own”
I’ve been intrigued with the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League (AAGPBL) ever since I watched A League of Their Own for the first time a couple of years ago. As the history lover that I am, I decided to do some more digging. I was entirely blown away by what these incredible women accomplished in the 1940s and ‘50s.

We have three Target locations in our area. One close to where we live, one about 15 miles away, and one in the elite, McMansion area near Eagle, Idaho. I found myself over that way one afternoon and decided to give it a try.
Jason ProvencioPublished 2 years ago in FictionA Handy Guide to Sexuality
Hi there! I'm Danny, and I'm pansexual. Growing up, I struggled with a clusterfuck of sexual identities before settling on one that felt like me. As an adult, I've become passionate about acknowledging queer youth and helping them find their way in a world which clearly was not made for us. There's so much out there, and most of it is left unspoken, as if it's sinful or invalid. I want to change this.
choreomaniaPublished 2 years ago in PrideFleeing from France
"The reality was that an iceberg was not the true culprit of Juliette’s heartbreak." Her senses were overwhelmed, her eyes trying to cut through the darkness. Her ears pierced by the sound of panic and destruction, her nose filled with the smell of smoke, the taste of salt water lingered on her tongue. Her hands cold and wet, Juliette clung to her two small daughters, shielding them from the ice cold wind and waves, in a lifeboat that didn’t seem sturdy enough to make the voyage, to land, wherever land was. Her tears froze at the peaks of her cheeks, not only traumatized by the unforeseen crash, but the mere fact that she was now alone. Two children under the age of 4 years old and one fighting to thrive in her womb and her husband lost among the wreckage.

A gray house in a field. An image that expresses loneliness and age. | Source: Pxfuel Writing Poetry Based on Photographs I’ve been doing writing prompts, lessons, and poems about a city I can’t visit—Walla Walla, Washington. Andrea LawrencePublished 2 years ago in PoetsFostering Hope
To be honest, I had never fully considered fostering a dog until a couple of months before I met Hope. I had this picture of it as a great and noble thing that I wasn't capable of. Then I started seeing frequent social media posts from Dogs Lives Matter - Saving NYC Dogs. This put the mission of fostering dogs into a whole new perspective for me. These weren't dogs that people brought home in hopes of keeping forever (though I would later learn just how common foster fails are!). These were dogs that were dying, that day, if nobody stepped up. I can't say I didn't know that somewhere deep down before, but seeing these listings day in and day out, including the mourning posts for those that never got saved, put things into perspective for me. My adopted dog, Melody, was dog-friendly, and I had the resources to feed another mouth; what was I doing sitting idly by while so many dogs waited in kill shelters for someone that never came?

Top 25 Moments In Which Endgame Made Me Cry, Laugh out Loud, or Smile
Avengers: Endgame, as we know, came out 3 years ago now, and it still feels like yesterday that I was trying (and failing) to focus on normal, everyday life when this movie was hitting theaters. Now, as we approach its anniversary on April 26, I can’t stop thinking of how much this movie (and its predecessor Avengers: Infinity War) shook the world and changed the Marvel Cinematic Universe forever. These movies are, in my opinion, two of the greatest superhero movies, and I could go on for hours as to why they are so amazing. Not only does Endgame have show-stopping, jaw-dropping, tear-jerking moments— it also has an ensemble cast that ties up and connects a decade of movies perfectly. That storytelling and world-building is enough to give me chills.
Krystal KatzPublished 2 years ago in GeeksHarness The Power Of Regret
We all have something we wish we would have done differently. Regret, just like any other emotion, is part of the experience of being human, but it is an emotion that is often misunderstood. We tend to shy away from reflecting on our regrets with objectivity, as they can be very uncomfortable to look at. I occasionally think back on a situation and wince at the thought of my behaviour, and other times I regret some things I didn’t do or say. Can you relate?
