20 Books of 2020 (Pt. 24)
Recently, I have been looking at translations in fiction and I have noticed that some translations are better than others. For example: JD Smith's translation of the "Mahabharata" is possibly one of the better translations into English that I have seen. Constance Garnett is one of the most famous names in translation literature - possibly most famous for the following translations of hers (some of which are still in print today!). Check these out if you can find them:

I realize that I'm several seasons late to the Brooklyn Nine-Nine party, but forgive me. I only loosely followed the show previously because, quite frankly, I didn't have the time between teaching high school full time and raising two daughters.
Christina St-JeanPublished 4 years ago in GeeksWhat do we need to know about Shallon Lester?
Who is Shallon Lester? She is a You Tuber known for talking about celebrities. She also gives relationship advise. Recently there’s been a wave of controversy about this You Tuber. Suddenly everyone is talking about how she is a bully, and how she made up a story about an encounter with the famous Harry Styles. Not only that has caught the eye of many people, but also the fact that she tweeted a couple of years ago about sexually fantasizing of Justin Bieber, who was only 16 years old at the moment, is horrifying.

Louisa and Malphas stood by the window in the parlour looking out over the manor gardens. Her head rested against his shoulder, her fingers tapping against the pommel of the sword as they watched red and orange tendrils draw across the sky. As her fingers moved, she could feel the power of the sword caressing her fingertips, travelling across every nerve in her hand and arm. Closing her eyes, she could almost see her connection to the sword, and through it, her link to her ancestor. Malphas had told her stories of Lilith, of how she was the first of their kind to interact with humans. She had created the three ancient weapons and fought alongside the humans, protecting them from the angels first attempt to claim the human realm. It had been the war that had forever set the angels against the demons. He told her the story of how Lilith had been betrayed by those she sought to help. How her name had been wiped from the human record, her deeds lost to time. Now, even in the demon realm, her memory was all but lost. It remained only in a few stories handed down by the last of the ancient demons. Tears welled in her eyes as she opened them, once more focusing on the garden and the shadows as they grew with the first hints of the sunset.

Fresh off a breakup and struggling to keep up with house payments, aspiring photographer Gina Larson (Chelsea Hobbs) decides the best course of action is to rent out her guesthouse. Among the many responses she gets to her advert, one stands out: pilot Mark James (Marcus Rosner), whose good looks, interest in photography, and rave reviews from previous landlords convince her he's the perfect choice.
Trevor WellsPublished 4 years ago in GeeksYu-Gi-Oh! Sevens Episode 5 Review
The episode starts where we see Mr. Goha in Goha corp with the mass amount of employees deleting & blocking online content connected to rush duels. We have yet to see the true nature behind the censorship but speculation & fear are what comes of it. As if finally getting something to do, deleting the videos about rush duel comes off as Goha Corp. doesn’t want anything to do with it.
All day and a night
All day and a night written and directed by Joe Robert Cole was released on Netflix May 1, 2020. My visceral reaction was this story is raw ugly and beautiful. This story under different circumstances has happened many times and is going on right now in real life. While serving a life sentence Jahkor Abraham Lincoln(Ashton Sanders) reflects on his life, family, friends, circumstances and system that lead him towards his crime.

Hey, I have an idea! Let’s take a ride into Toon Town. There’s always something exciting going on there. Released to theaters in 1988, Who Framed Roger Rabbit? is about a detective tracking down clues to determine who killed the owner of Toon Town. All the animated toons are in danger of having their home taken away unless someone gets to the bottom of it. Eddie Valiant is on the case with the bungling Roger Rabbit at his side.
Marielle SabbagPublished 4 years ago in GeeksJulie Berman’s success after General Hospital
Julie Berman just the facts General Hospital viewers have not heard much about actress Julie Berman since she departed from the ABC daytime drama. Some fans had hoped that she would return to the role but that never happened and Berman seems to be doing quite well since she was last seen on daytime television. Although she has not obtained any roles that compare to her GH character the actress has remained somewhat busy.
Cheryl E PrestonPublished 4 years ago in Geeks'Survivor: Winners At War' Episode 13
Wow! What an amazing episode of Survivor tonight! First off, nice move blindsiding Kim. That was a brilliant move and Tony managed to pull it off. But now, Michele's scared. So, she chats with Jeremy who listens and understands her concern, even giving her back her 50/50 advantage, since he doesn't want his own game to be determined by it. So now, Michele & Jeremy are back on good terms, hopefully. Meanwhile. Denise is a little stressed, but she felt done with how she's been for a while. So, she wrote on a wood board a message for herself or "tattoos". Endure and Let Go. Endure the situation and let go of the stress, pretty much. Then, Cops R Us reminisces on old times. 6 years since they got together in Cagayan. Tony won once, Sarah won once. Now, this season should be the tiebreaker season as their plan is for them and Ben to get to the final 3 together. But, there's something else that could trouble them. Ben wants Jeremy gone, badly. And he won't budge. And that is bad, since if they take out Jeremy then Denise, Michele & Nick could team up and all they'd need is Ben to make it 4 and take out Sarah & Tony. And Ben can be sketchy at times.
