Red’s Return to Wolf Woods
It was years since I had set foot in the woods. Mum and I parted on bad terms after grandma died, and I moved to the city to work. I flicked through books, opened draws and looked through cupboards as I explored the now empty cottage. It all felt alien to me until I found my old red cape.

Beware the Spell that Promises your Heart's Desire (Part 1)
Rachel's hand brushed against the old leather-bound volumes. She had never seen this section of the bookstore before. Come to think of it, she had never seen the woman behind the counter before, and it was strange how she had pointed to the back of the shop before Rachel had even spoken.

The Vampire's Human Mate: Leaving Pain for Passion
Jayne walked a little quicker, tugging at her husband’s arm and pulling him closer, ignoring his mutterings. as the cold wind whipped around her. She had felt a strange presence for days, movement in the edges of the shadows, whispers in the quiet, early hours of the morning. It had never felt threatening before, but today the wind had an edge to it. It had started as they had left the store. She would call it malevolent if it was possible for the wind to give off feelings.

Both had become steamier as time had gone on, and our inhibitions had lessened.

The Return of the Order: Act 43
As the bright light faded, a voice from its centre spoke, “my apologies for startling you. I bring no ill intentions.” Typhon’s weapon remained raised as he watched the figure slowly emerge and fold away its silver wings. “What are you doing here, angel?” he snarled.

The Return of the Order: Act 42
Malphas placed the hounds on the floor by the fireplace and checked the progress of their healing. Typhon had chosen the pets well; they were both young and strong. The scythes had missed their hearts, and their thick coats had shielded them from the worst of the blows. As he smoothed their necks, he heard the others come into the parlour. He stood, turned and watched as the twins tended to Ciel’s injuries and Louisa comforted the still shocked Margaret. Malphas watched as Margaret’s gaze flitted around the room before settling on him.
