The episode starts where we see Mr. Goha in Goha corp with the mass amount of employees deleting & blocking online content connected to rush duels. We have yet to see the true nature behind the censorship but speculation & fear are what comes of it. As if finally getting something to do, deleting the videos about rush duel comes off as Goha Corp. doesn’t want anything to do with it.

Reporters of the newspaper club approach our team RD (rush duel) to get some feedback & Rook takes the spotlight as if he’s a brand ambassador for Rush Duels.

After the interview, the paper is in & it’s like the newspaper club just took the negative comments & butchered the idea of rush duels. It seems as if Yuga isn’t that much peeved like the rest of the gang because as long as he gets to Rush Duel, he can spread his message. Yuga always seems to have a positive mental attitude towards connecting with people & his style of dueling.

Due to the backlash of the newspaper post about rush duels, Rook is upset & he approaches the newspaper club for some answers. Here is where Bakuro changes his persona to defend his team & express his plan to shut down rush duel & what it could stand for.

What ends up happening is a proposition occurring between team RD (rush duel) & the newspaper club. A master duel gets put on the table to settle for the negative post, but Bakuro agrees to do a Rush Duel to outshine & shut the team down with their method.

Bakuro & Rook square off as they ready the duel & The personality of Bakuro is more determined & confident. Unlike the transformations, we’ve seen from previous Yu-Gi-Oh! Series the animation was smooth & fast pace. With the machine roids against Rook & his dragons, Bakuro gets the upper hand over Rook. Towards the end, Rook gets the upper hand. The duel is fast-paced & is significantly less information about how rush duels work, which helps us transition to what this season has to offer.

Something very Yu-Gi-Oh! What happens is the deck Bakuro uses consist of cards relating to what their thing is. In this case, it’s the newspaper club. His main monster is a newspaper printing machine that has the power to bring out more. Bakuro cards are familiar with the roid series from the GX series since his cards end with roid.

As the newspaper club report & get the scoop on the duel, Bakuro expresses his confidence & reassurance of his victory. You can tell how dedicated & fun these kids are having considering the “dark” undertone of Goha Corp controlling aspects of these kids’ lives.

After what looks likes a close call, Rook comes out victorious & Bakuro loses the duel. To no surprise, the themes so in this series is about promoting Rush Duels & everyone accepting it. Though this isn’t an end of the world duel as compared to Vrains, the childlike ambiance & humor brings a small sense of worry for rush duels.

After the duel, Bakuro announces his love for rush duels. He becomes excited by the new style & by obtaining the first-hand experience, and he becomes elated with gratitude. Bakuro & the rest of the newspaper club found an appreciation for rush duels.

It’s interesting how we see the interaction between the robot Kaizo & Romin compared with the girl in the newspaper club. Kaizo seems more like a comedy relief even though there’s enough comedy within the show. The humor for Kaizo is very interactive with the female characters, which brings a more demographic for the audience.

The gang gets a new friend & a supporter of rush duels. Of course, he doesn’t replace Gakuto or any other of the team, but having someone in your corner leads for a bright future for the newspaper club. An important thing to notice is how Romin actually is growing more comfortable with the rest of team RD. With her ever-changing outfits, she’s growing into a character with more to say, which is very appreciated.

Overall, Bakuro seems like a character that fits into some scenarios in future episodes. Him being the leader (president) of the newspaper club can lead to some composition down the road. This episode showed more press for the rush duels & the joy it brings. While we haven’t seen much of our main character Yuga be involved in the attack, we begin to see more of a team of characters & they’re involvement in each other’s lives. Team RD (rush duels) as it stands is, Yuga, Rook, Romin, & Gakuto. I am interested to see what happens next.
