Karen LichtmanPublished 4 years ago in GeeksA Short Review of Cats (2019, Tom Hooper)
Why did I watch this film? Why? WHY? I mean considering the original musical trailer actually scarred me as a child, surely I shouldn't have gone to see this potentially mortifying, cat fuelled extravaganza. Well this CGI adaptation of the popular stage play surprisingly didn't have the same effect as that trailer but it is was enough to make my brain turn to mush and question the very fabric of my own existence. Not in a good way! The film was so terrible I had to contemplate what existential force placed it into being! The torment was so high I think it was the only way I survived!

It's hard to think of a show that would come close to rival Adult Swim's overnight success in "Rick and Morty," but Justin Roiland's new show "Solar Opposites" does. It might even take it one step further. If you are a fan of Roiland's work, then you are sure to fall in love with the first season of the new Hulu show.

Character Development = Life Development Prt.1 The beautiful imagination of a young girl captured by the made up life of a character is something to enjoy to the fullest, and fear to a certain extent. Growing up a young black girl in Michigan and starting off in a primarily black elementary, then making my way into a primarily white school is a big change, not just for my surroundings, but for my personality, likes, and dislikes as well. The television was my safe place, not really for the various amount of the shows, but for the characters I came across each time I would watch a show, and the beautiful roller-coaster rides when it came down to character development. Their lives were formed in front of my impressionable eyes, and little did I know that my personality, ad life would also be formed from watching them.
Precious AnnPublished 4 years ago in GeeksMy Review of "The Little Hours"
The Little Hours showed up suddenly in my Netflix suggested list and honestly I didn't know what to make of the movie. It stars a pretty big name cast but it's based in a convent in the middle ages. I have to admit I'm one of the few people that actually really liked the movie Your Highness so I had to give this movie a shot. There's no way I could have planned what I was about to witness.
Brian AnonymousPublished 4 years ago in GeeksMy Review of "I Am Not Okay With This: Season One"
I Am Not Okay With This is a Netflix exclusive TV series that I thought would explore a girl's super powers. I soon found out that this movie is actually more about the main character Syd trying to figure herself out. She has so much angst that it was very difficult to watch this season at times. The thing about this is that the show had to make her this way for the series to work. Once you get to the very end you realize that everything was done pretty intelligently.
Brian AnonymousPublished 4 years ago in GeeksMy Review of "The Core"
The Core is an early 2000's disaster movie. These were really big in the late 90's and early 2000's. I guess there was a lot of panic with Y2K that everyone ate these movies up. I know I'm becoming one of these suckers. This movie shows some of its age but it's still enjoyable if you don't take this movie too seriously.

Movies and Tapas
Better Days? I tend to optimism, so I feel everyday can be a “better day”. It’s not what you do but how you approach life. It could be something you do with a friend, a partner or even just yourself. It’s not necessarily where you go, where you eat or where you travel and it can be as simple as a trip to the movies.
The evolution of Bat-girl
Bat-girl beginnings Bat-girl was birthed through DC comics as the female superheroine counterpart to Batman. She was introduced in 1961 as Betty Kane by Sheldon Moldoff and Bill Finger. In 1967Betty was replaced by Barbara Gordon who eventually became identified as Batgirl, without the hyphen. This character made her entrance in DC Comics #359, The million dollar debut of Batgirl, in January 1967.
