Chocolate is a popular food item that is eaten in virtually every culture. In this context, we are not talking about hot chocolate or other cocoa-based drinks. Chocolate bars and truffles do look and are called candies. But is chocolate considered candy?

I’ve been vegetarian for three months. I always keep an eye out for stuff that is either vegan or plant-based. That way, if it is suitable for vegans, than it is safe for vegetarians too. I’ve read in the newspaper that meat consumption has declined and major chains are now adding more plant-based foods on their menu. Wagamama currently has a 50% plant-based menu. McDonalds has followed suit with the new McPlant burger.

We all know that nutrition is essential for our day to day life. It is not a want but a need. Even though in some people end up buying a quantity of food they didn't really needed which ultimately gets wasted. But this could be a topic for another story.

As I walked into the grocery store and added the various on sale produce to my cart, an elderly woman approached me. I don't intentionally avoid contact in the store, but I do often worry about how I may be inconvenient to someone who might say something rude to me. I do check ingredients carefully because of a soy intolerance, and I know that sometimes others' are not patient. I try to move out the way, but sometimes there is no where to move in crowded aisles. To my pleasant surprise, the woman instead asked me what it was that I did with the orange squash in my cart.

an open letter to the coffee I left on the counter
I am truly, deeply sorry for leaving you like that. I would understand if you could never forgive me. I abandoned you… half empty, but so full of promises. As I am realizing the error of my ways, it feels only right to speak my peace. To mend what can be healed of this heartbreak. For surely, it is mutual.

When I was a teenager, I cut my teeth in a small town in south Mississippi named Purvis and I do mean small. We did not have a Walmart and had only a handful of restaurants of which three were fish houses that were common in the south during my youth in the late 90’s. My parents owned a patch of land that the whole family lived on and during the summer it needed constant attention. I spent hours for days on end on the tractor cutting grass or on the mower doing the same for the many individual yards. I would get up early and work till lunch before having to find something to eat for myself. Both my parents worked some 30 miles away in a nearby, “larger” town and so often I was by myself for lunch. I would get into my truck and if I did not want to drive 60 miles to the big town there and back or into Purvis which was a 30 miles round trip (yes I lived in the middle of nowhere), I really only had one choice of place to eat.

When I tried my first secret menu drink at Starbucks, it was “The Grasshopper”—a Mocha Frappuccino with java chips and peppermint syrup that was pure delight—like eating mint chocolate chip ice cream.
Honey LemonPublished 3 years ago in FeastTrivia Game: Guess the Ice Cream Flavour?!
Ice Cream is one of the world's favourite desserts and is my all-time favourite dessert! Ice Cream puts people in a positive state of mind and is yummy as a piece of cake. Ice Cream is quite a versatile dessert, because it can be made differently. Ice Cream can be vegan, keto, paleo and it comes in a variety of textures, colours and flavours. Ice Cream is easy to find and purchase at places like fast food restaurants, ice cream parlours, ice cream trucks and grocery stores. I don't believe that the world will be the same without ice cream.
Talia DevoraPublished 3 years ago in FeastHow To Use A Red Chili Powder Grinder To Make Your Foods Nutritious And Delicious
If you're a foodie who likes to cook with authentic (as in "authentic") ingredients, then you've probably heard of Red Chili Powder. It's a staple in the Southwestern states: Texas, Arizona and New Mexico. There is also a type of Red Chili that comes from the Pacific Northwest called Green Chili Powder. I am not an expert when it comes to either one but I do know that both have their own distinct styles. So which one is better? Let's take a closer look.
