If you're a foodie who likes to cook with authentic (as in "authentic") ingredients, then you've probably heard of Red Chili Powder. It's a staple in the Southwestern states: Texas, Arizona and New Mexico. There is also a type of Red Chili that comes from the Pacific Northwest called Green Chili Powder. I am not an expert when it comes to either one but I do know that both have their own distinct styles. So which one is better? Let's take a closer look.

Red Chili Price:

The main difference between the two types of Red Chili is that the Red Chili usually has a slightly longer cooking time when compared to the green variety. Red chiles are tougher than green chiles (so they'll stay chilies for a while). This means that you'll need to add less peppers per meal when using red chillis. And yes, the chiles can be roasted too (not recommended). Also, red chiles have a higher smoke point so cooking with them will produce a more concentrated smoke flavor than green chiles.

Hot Pepper Powder:

Korean powder isn't technically a chili powder, but it is close. It is made with the husks and seeds of the red pepper. To make Korean spicy powder, all you need to do is boil the red pepper seeds until they're nice and soft. You can then mince the seeds and throw them into the food processor. Then, you just keep blending until you get a fine mixture. This is a great way to cut down on your food preparation time - and you can use this type of Red Chili powder over other hot spicy options such as Tabasco sauce or ground pepper.

Natural Chilli Powder:

The beauty about making your own Red Chili Powder is that it is pretty easy. If you have a natural powder grinder in your kitchen (which you might if you cook a lot of spicy foods), all you have to do is grind the chili and fresh cilantro together to create a fine red powder to use in your recipes. The only problem you might encounter with creating your own Red Chili Powder is getting the right kind of powder - which might be different from the one in the packet. This is easily solved though: just get some black pepper and add it to the mix.

Garlic Powder:

It might seem strange to put garlic into a Red Chili Powder, but it really works! Why? Because the Pakistani love their garlic, especially when it's chopped up into a fine powder. You can also make a Red Chili Powder with pure garlic by grinding fresh cloves and adding it to the powder (along with enough water to completely dissolve the garlic). If you want the most flavor, you should add the chopped pieces of garlic right at the beginning, which will give your Pakistan a very garlicky taste.

Maldive Sea Salt:

If you love the taste of Indian food and want to add a little more zip to your meals, then try this wonderful Red Chili Powder recipe. All you need to do is heat some water and dissolve the Maldive sea salt in it (just make sure the water is room temperature). Then, add in your favourite Red Chili powder and stir until the powder is completely dissolved. Then, add in your favourite chili or other ingredients (we love cashews and coriander).

Our recipe for Red Chili Powder comes with a cute little Red Chili Powder grinding machine that we keep in our India Kitchen. We use it whenever we feel like getting into the kitchen and making a healthy, quick meal. It's quite handy since you can use it to make just a few powder cups instead of a whole cup, and the result is instant, healthy, nutritious heat! The great thing about using a Red Chili Powder grinding machine is that you can adjust the heat according to how you need it, which is great if you like a milder or different flavor.

There are many other recipes available, but we have liked the ones above the rest (and many others) best! To find out more about our favourite Indian recipes, visit us on the website! In the meantime, make sure you try out some Red Chili Powder today, because what's a party without Red Chili Powder? And when you do, you'll never look back.
