Fighting Shame with Light
I took the picture above many years ago. It is one of my favorites because it took a long time and involved patience and creativity. Yes, it's a real jar with real firefly bugs and their lights blinking. There are no AI generations here, just good old-fashioned night photography using long exposures. What will blow your mind is when I tell you how many lightning bugs are actually in the jar, but before I do ( read all the way first) let me tell you the story of shame, light, impact, and moving forward.

Running Into The Storm. Content Warning.
What I am about to tell you is not fiction (although the dream itself would be considered a fictional event because it is a dream), it's a true story of a recurring dream that I would have and it wouldn't stop until one day it did. In a roundabout way that dream came true, the dream was a warning, a message, a subconscious insight into a bigger issue, an issue I needed to face outside the dream world. What I mean by that is the dream would resurface about twice a year for almost fifteen to twenty years. A nightmare is not how I want to categorize this, but for most who would experience this kind of dream, I would feel like that's exactly what you would call a nightmare.

When All You Feel are Thorns…
I have lived much of my life believing I was being punished for something. It didn't matter if it was something small or big, if it went wrong and did not go my way it was punishment. Was God punishing me? Was it the Universe in its cosmic strength singling me out? A thorn in my side to remind me how small I am and worth nothing?

Capturing an Aurora in the South!
I have been a photographer for over 20+ years and an astrophotographer for about 11 years. One of the most incredible events to capture on camera is the Aurora Borealis light show from the heavens. I live so far south in the USA, that it is just an impossible sight and truly just out of reach, until now. I am in the loop regarding solar activity, enough of my news feeds keep me informed, but when it comes to an aurora it's now just white noise because that will never happen here where I am.

Create and Sell AI Graphic Design Prompts & Tutorials on Amazon
Last year when Ai took off I jumped both feet first into creating content. As an artist, this new technology opened a new medium for me to jump into and create. I have always wanted to be a graphic designer, but that level of artistic ability is just not in my blood. I try and will keep trying, but Ai just made it easier to take a few leaps forward.
