The Next Great Comet Is Coming
If you were to ask me what my favorite night sky target was, I would tell you with 100 percent certainty that it was comets. I love everything about them, they are full of personality, challenging, and unpredictable. Comets are mysterious and come from the depths of our outer space to do one of two things, die, or come to life in a fiery outburst of epic and memorizing display. They can do both of these things on the same trip.

How Taking Notes Like Toddler is Helping My ADHD & Mental Health
I have been a terrible student for as long as I can remember. I struggled with just about every aspect of school lessons. My teachers thought I was lazy, and I thought I was stupid. I have a vivid memory of the third grade, as the girl next to me was breezing through the assignment while I struggled with completing the first line. She looked right at me and asked, “Are you stupid?” She was dead serious, and I was crushed.

Be a Kid Again with Toy Photography
I remember, as a child, creating incredible landscapes of imagination with my toys. I would place random-sized items across my living room floor and place a blanket on top. This would give me the illusion of sweeping landscapes. I would take my Star Wars action figures or He-Man characters, and what would unfold would be of epic proportions, all in the eyes and mind of my childhood self.

Painting with Fireflies
This picture above got a lot of attention a few years ago. I took it using fireflies, and it generated a lot of questions as to how on Earth did I do this? Lucky for me, about two weeks every summer, the fireflies in my backyard come to life like nothing I would ever believe. It helps that I live next to a swamp (not great for avoiding mosquitoes), but the fireflies love the humidity.
