Day
a poem about the birth of the first day

there was no world before this moment
but now each day comes again and again
as the wind blows from His breath
time starts.
out of the cold, here comes the warmth
and out of nothing comes the rain
today is the day a day is born
and from this moment, the day comes…
again and again
...
The image I picked to accompany my poem is an image I took of the Pinwheel Galaxy, which is located 21 million lightyears from Earth. Read more about that on Wikipedia. Imaging galaxies requires patience and lots of practice. I have been doing it for over 10 years now and it has been a beautiful experience to see the birth of stars from long ago.
