Inspiration
Everyone at one time or another is at a loss for inspiration. It is nothing personal, it happens to everyone. There are several ways to re-center your level of inspiration and allow it to grow again. Personally, inspiration is found for me in my environment. People watching is a trait that has completely made me a huge fan! And from that, the inspiration flows. For others that need a little bit more help, here are a few ideas that may very well help!

Think of Yourself
I am a self-proclaimed ‘work-oholic’ and am not at all afraid to admit it. My job is not strenuous, but mentally; it is challenging. There are three completely different clients that depend on me being always on top of my game. If I am not; their business will suffer. That is not something I want to suffer because I am distracted. So, I make certain I am at my desk Monday through Friday from morning to early evening.

Happy Mother’s Day
There are flashes of memories here and there of you. Nothing substantial though. As an adult I wonder what I did. What did I do that was so terrible as a kid that made you walk away from me, without even so much as a second thought? Was my behavior bad? Was I rude? Did I not follow your instructions? I realize you will never surface again to give me answers. So, I am forever left with memories, and doubts.

Good Communication
You may walk away from a conversation thinking that was the best conversation you have ever had and attribute it to you and your great communication style. But is it really because of you or is it because of someone that was in the conversation with you? Were you just hyped up and made to feel good because the other person made you feel that way? It can be a deflated feeling to realize you were not the focal point, but the others were. Don’t let that happen though, continue to be proud of yourself. Mainly because it takes more than one to carry on a successful and positive conversation.

May is For…
There are so many May Awareness initiatives it can be a bit cumbersome for sure. There are of course graduation goals, Mother’s Day, Cinco De Mayo, and Mental Health Awareness; just to name a few. I look to May for signifying Mental Health Awareness because it is so near and dear to my heart. I have and still am learning how to ‘deal’ with issues of my own. Through guidance and advise from others I know I will prevail; however, I worry about others too. Mainly, I am concerned about some I work with. I really think this is because we see our ‘work family’ more than we see our ‘bio’ family; so, we get to know their mannerisms very well.

It Is Not Hard…
Just like anything else in this world being a good person takes work. But it is far from impossible and could quite possibly be one of the easiest tasks someone could take on. Often, it simply involves tweaking how you already behave or live, by just a bit. Or many may be surprised that they are already exuding the habits of a good person, and they do not even realize it. Here are some tell-tale signs of a good person; where do you rank?

Happily Ever…
Imagine a thirty-something female working two jobs in order to support her son, whom she is raising on her own. How happy with her life do you truly expect that she is? She doesn’t have time to go bar hopping to find a good man. And let’s face it, how many good men are in a bar? Probably not many. Nope. Most of the contact she has with the outside world, let alone with the opposite sex, is through the Internet.

Marriage is a Commitment:
When you are in a relationship with someone, and marriage is the goal; both people must be on board. But how do you make sure that is happening? You begin with open and honest communication. For some couples they embrace the premise of ‘less is more’ and run with it. However, that is not the main ingredients for a successful marriage. For an open, honest, and successful marriage it is recommended to talk out the hard-hitting points before walking down the aisle.

Being an Army Parent:
There is a ton of presence put on ‘Army Moms’ when in my opinion there needs to be an equal presence placed on ‘Army Parents’. Dads make a huge contribution as well when a child is in the military. However, that is not what this blog is focusing on. I really want to bring attention to the different ways to keep the lines of communication open when a parent has a child in the military, specifically the Army. You see, if you know me personally, you already know my son is active Army and is out of the country deployed right now. So, this is a topic that is near and dear to my heart.

Inspiration & Motivation
The answer is a simple; YES! Yes, we do! However, are we tuned into ourselves well enough to realize one from the other and to implement them? That is not as definitive as a Yes, as the other. Today we are more competitive in not only our work lives, but our personal lives too.

Tis The Season,
If there is a more cringe worthy moment in time; I am not familiar with it. Where I work, we get annual reviews with upper management, and we can discuss issues we have. Basically, it is a report card type of meeting where we are graded on everything from core values and competencies that are either met, or not. This is pretty much a heart attack in a cup for someone with spiraling anxiety, like me.

Is There a Right or Wrong Way to Manage a Stressful Day;
Are you personally aware of a job that is more stressful than another? Are you in one right now and not sure exactly how to conform without bursting from the inside? I feel like this a lot, and I am simply a customer service agent. However, I have many other irons in the fire, so to speak. I am building my writing company and I assist several large groups on social media with planning and advertising. You would not think it would be stressful, right? Wrong! I have had my hands full entirely to much, especially lately.
