Creativity in the time of Covid-19
Art can take form anytime, anywhere and with anyone. I took the time to take advice from creatives around the world, to share how they are keeping their artistic juices going at home. Here's what they had to say.
Gabrielle MarysePublished 4 years ago in Motivation10 Women Who Inspire Me
In honor of March being Women's History Month I thought I would reflect on some of the women in my community who inspire me. Some of these women I've met personally, and some of them I admire from a distance- (I see you girl- keep doing you!). I think that as a woman it's important to honor and recognize when we see others doing something that inspires us. Even if it's something we would never pursue ourselves, the fact that watching someone else can give us the energy and motivation to create a life that we love living, is pretty amazing.
Laura OdegardPublished 4 years ago in MotivationThe Gram & Genuine streams
Dave Chappelle got it right ‘The Age of Spin’ is officially dead with social media playing a large role in it; you may not realize it now but the evidence is as clear as an X-ray and finding success on the gram and genuine streams or views across social media has become a trend we seem to focus.
Rowen MotleyPublished 4 years ago in Motivation24 Lessons I've Learned by 24
So, today’s post is going to be very different; because it’s about my personal life, rather than my take on the outside word. It dawned on me this past week that I am turning 24 today, and it brought up a lot of different emotions in me; for different reasons. The past 5 years have been filled with so many incredible moments, good and bad. And I say incredible for the bad moments because looking back now I wouldn’t take a single thing back. I wouldn’t want to do a single thing differently. Not the tears. Not the heartache. Not the depression. Not the anxiety. None of it. Because I would not be who am I today, on my 24th birthday, without going through everything that I went through.
Juan FaragherPublished 4 years ago in MotivationThe Vocal Challenge 2020
January is closing in and the New Year's resolutions are beginning to pile in by the million. But, honestly, how many times have we promised ourselves that we'll cut out drinking or snacking only to then scrap the goal mid-January time? How many promises have we broken to not only ourselves, but also to our friends and families, as well? It's not usually the greatest of starts, is it? But that's alright – because, annoyingly, we're all guilty of doing it.

This is Making It Happen, where I get to sit down with some inspiring individuals and learn about their stories—the many places they’re from, the incredible things they’ve created, and how their culture has influenced their lives today.

THERE ARE ONLY 2 THINGS YOU CAN REALLY CONTROL, AND THAT’S ATTITUDE AND EFFORT. HOW YOU APPLY BOTH, PRODUCTIVELY, WILL DETERMINE THE SUCCESS, THE QUALITY AND THE QUANTITY OF THE IDEAS YOU COME UP TO SOLUTIONS PROBLEMS.
Charles LeonPublished 4 years ago in MotivationIt Kinda Sounds like I Might Be Strange
The other day I was walking somewhere when all of a sudden I realized I was thirteen blocks further away from where I thought I was because “math” and so I hailed a cab that was stopped at a light and I was like ‘Can you just drop me at 40th because I’m lazy?’ and he was like “Sure it’s OK.” (when run-on sentences are a technique of your prose it’s OK).
Jesse PardeePublished 4 years ago in MotivationAcid Box Meaning
Hello, I am Anti Clvtch. It's nice of you guys to drop by. I am an artist and brand owner, my Instagram is @anti.clvtch. If you would like to check out my page and watch my journey feel free to follow and keep tabs on the page. Now this acid box used to just be some complete and utter accident that I made the first day I decided to do a collage art-style, which is basically finding a bunch of pictures and making them come together to form something completely different or completely random. I choose to make it look psychedelic and trippy because I like making art that makes people just say "WTF" out loud.
ANTIPublished 5 years ago in MotivationAre You That Snorlax Blocking Your Own Path?
Heyo guys! If you have ever played or watched Pokemon in your life, you might have realized what I'm talking about here. There is this giant Snorlax which sleeps in the middle of the road, blocking the path; and if you are playing it for the first time, then like me, you might have had no clue what to do, but you totally want to capture it... sorry to be the bearer of the bad news, but it's not gonna happen (unless you play some more and get a flute).
Otaku WriterPublished 5 years ago in Motivation3 Morning Routine Must Do's
The words "morning routine" are all the buzz in the world of personal development these days. The most successful people are locked into their morning routines, and claim it is an important component of their success. People become obsessed with the morning routine of the successful people they look up to, but morning routines are not something that can be copied to achieve success. Morning routines need to be a personal journey for you in order for them to become a meaningful part of your day. However, there are three consistent actions that are required to help you start your day with success.
Marci BrodockPublished 5 years ago in MotivationWhat Acting Taught Me
For me, acting always served a very specific purpose. When I first started, I couldn't have been more than 5 or 6, it was for pure, innocent joy. Relentless pleading from their boisterous and self-assured child left my parents with little choice, but to enroll me in acting classes. Then, around 12, my hobby turned into a career. This career would fill my days with acting classes and auditions. Days turned into years. There would be the occasional triumph, those fortunate moments when working meant going to set and earning a paycheck. But more often than not, working meant class, practice, audition, repeat. It wasn't until more recently in life, when the realities of adulthood brought forth new and unfamiliar experiences, that it came to serve yet another distinct purpose.
