Four Steps to Unshakable Self-Confidence
We've all felt the sting of being let down, frustrated, unfulfilled, or not quite good enough in our lives and relationships. I have been guilty of having unrealistic expectations of others, wanting them to shower me with compliments, approval, and validation, sometimes even trying to control situations or outcomes in an attempt to get what I thought would make me feel good. It was a painful, exhausting way to live.

We all have goals, aspirations, and dreams. No matter what our station in life, our circumstances, or where we find ourselves, it is one of the basic human conditions to want to aim high, to aim higher.

I began my career as a professional photographer well before the digital age. It was a time when photos were captured by using film. The camera itself worked pretty much the same as they do now, but instead of recording pixels on a microchip, the camera used "film," a chemical surface that captures the light as it enters through the camera lens.

If I told you that you would lose all electricity and access to the internet for 24 hours, how would you feel? If you’re anything like me, your heart skips a tiny beat. But what if I miss an important work email? What if something bad happens and I need to call for help? What if I can’t share the experience on social media?

Facing fear is something we have all had to deal with. The fear to do ... The fear not to do ... The fear of success ... The fear of failure ... We all face different fears in our life. Yet there are ways in which we either increase or diminish our fears. We don't have to let them control us but this can very much be the case. Often we find that, if we are not careful, we may end up strengthening the very things are afraid of.
The Breatharian BloggerPublished 5 years ago in MotivationDon’t Avoid Having a Vision
Over the last few days, I have really been digging through old notebooks and going back to the plan that I created for my work this year (instead of making six more plans lol 🙃). Last year, I did the exact opposite of this. I spent a lot of time second guessing whether or not I had the right thing to say or share. Can you relate? There’s something that you want to accomplish or create in your life/work but it feels like you spend more time planning the vision than acting on it. No shame at all. I’ve been there. You’re not alone. And I also want you to cut yourself some slack. Even in my uncertainty, I still found myself growing. And I know the same is true for you. The reality is there were some days where my analysis got the best of me, but the next day I got myself into a creating groove.

“For what it’s worth: it’s never too late to be whoever you want to be. I hope you live a life you’re proud of, and if you find that you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start over again.”Scott Fitzgerald

December is an interesting month for most of the modern world as people get together with their families, eat a surplus amount of food, and exchange gifts or perform other religious acts. This holiday is quickly followed by an entire week of shopping deals, in which people are likely to participate considering they are still in the "money-spending mood."

Throughout all our life, we go through different struggles which never kill us, but always make us stronger. Struggling is a missing piece of this LIFE puzzle. It can be difficult to choose the right gift for the people you work with: You want to get something that they can use, but with just enough of a personal touch to make it something they'll be sure to appreciate and enjoy. That said, you also want to avoid any "funny" gifts that could go over badly, gifts that give a message you don't mean to give, or the best tech gifts for coworkers that might break the bank. In the end, buying for coworkers can be far more stressful than buying for friends or family. To ease some of that difficulty, look into some fun, motivational gifts for coworkers so they can continue being the best they can be.
Nicola P. YoungPublished 5 years ago in MotivationHow to Create Successful Goals for the New Year
With the year coming to a close and the excitement of what the next 365 days might bring, we are all creating the new year's resolution list in our minds. While I'm not a fan of creating goals on a particular day, I understand the mentality behind it. Each year feels like a clean slate for us to change things we don't like in our lives. However, most of us create goals that fizz out within the first two weeks of January. The problem isn't making a goal, but building one that we can genuinely accomplish.
