Since starting Chevere Means Cool I've become more aware of the multiple alternatives there are to fast fashion. Of course, this is no news to anyone but sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming or hard to look into what these alternatives actually are. So, with this podcast, my goal is also to help curate some of these options for you.
Welcome to Chevere Means Cool— a podcast where I get to talk to some of my favorite independent designers, brands, and creators and share their stories. Chevere Means Cool was born from my love for unique style and the relationship we have with clothes, but most importantly, it’s a way to celebrate and support people’s dreams.
Making It Happen is all about highlighting those who are breaking the mold and defying boundaries. Creators, entrepreneurs, innovators, dreamers—this is all about celebrating the people who bring joy to your life with their accents, spices, music, dancing, and all your favorite questions (pero like what?)
This is Making It Happen, where I get to sit down with some inspiring individuals and learn about their stories—the many places they’re from, the incredible things they’ve created, and how their culture has influenced their lives today.
A few weeks ago, I brought a few bags of Bohana into the office to share with coworkers. Needless to say, everyone was intrigued by these funny-looking, little, round, puff balls.
I finally got my hands on one of Susan Alexandra's iconic beaded bags and it's safe to say I'm officially obsessed. The size, the colors, the shiny little beads, everything about it is just right—so much so that it's become my go-to bag for essentially any and all occasions.
