Who are you?
Who are you? I sense you presence but have no relation to you. You peek your head out from the shadows with that wicked grin. Haunting me, waiting to pounce on my every move like a lioness in the grass. Stalking me like prey making my good times only seem like a split-second in my lifetime. You may smile that friendly smile but your intentions aren’t pure.

Dear Millennials
Coca-Cola Dear Millennials, Please, I beg of you: guzzle down 150 calories of liquid sugar daily and stuff your mini fridges at work with the stuff. 900 factories, churning out 1.9 billion cups per day weren’t enough. You guys aren’t going for it; I’m sorry, you all. Now we’ve got millennial faces, twenty-six-year-old actresses who’ve appeared on a few episodes on a Netflix show, smiling through their teeth to get you, you feeling sorry for your teeth before they’ve touched the carbonated bubbles.

7 French Fries
I recently started Keto (haven’t we all). I know, I know. This isn’t super exciting. I’m just going to be real. I am a 307-pound, mommy of one, and this shit is hard. Today for example, my son has his best friend is over, and they wanted McDonalds. Me too. Don’t we all. It’s raining here, and they’ve been cooped up inside all day and McDonald’s has a PlayPlace. We get to McDonald’s and I’m sticking with the Keto so I order a Quarter Pounder, no buns, no condiments and order the kids their happy meals and some extra fries per their request. Let me tell you I.WANT. FRIES. Like, I really want fries, they aren’t in my mouth, but I can sure taste them.

How to stop procrastinating and get to work
We've all been there. That deadly monster called procrastination has hit us all and I am sure every one of you out here reading this article has felt guilty mindlessly browsing on the internet for hours at a stretch without keeping track of the time. Before you know it, you've spent your entire day online without any productive task accomplished. If its not online, your mind will find some or the other reason to deviate you from your task and switch to something else. As a college student, I remember every time I had an important assignment or a project to complete, which I had no motivation to do, I would find other menial tasks that would make me feel slightly productive, like clean my room instead or do my laundry. Here's the trick now, your mind can be tricked into increasing the significance of a task and hence getting to work! The good part about beating this procrastination demon and getting to work is awareness. By the looks of it, if you're reading this article, you have reached that stage. Without further ado, I will break down the steps needed to actually quit procrastinating and getting to work.

The Value of Confidence
I recently read another article about confidence in the workplace. This one, published by Forbes, took the perspective of women in the workplace and how they, many times, struggle with confidence. I liked the article (read for yourself HERE) but what I felt the article did not do enough of was equate the real, bottom-line value of having confidence. Self-deprecation, second-guessing and generally failing to believe in one's self costs money - in your pocket and for your company's bottom line.
