By Way of Apology. Runner-Up in Sorry About That Challenge.
Yeah. So. I wanted to apologize for something. You remember that figurine or statue or statuette or whatever the proper term is. Or was. Well, I mean, I’m sure you remember it. It was yours. Or maybe it was an action figure? I dunno. Doesn’t matter.

The Lazarus Taxa
Dear Powers that Be, Please accept this humble apology on behalf of humanity, for those who do not appreciate our divine origins. We are generally being incapable of accepting the complexity. We take things for granted, such as the power of Nature, the seasons, health and the simple act of just breathing. Exhale. Inhale. Breath.

A Roommate Apologizes.... Top Story - May 2026.
Note: More cleaning up has revealed more documents I thought were lost for good. I found the following apology - spelling errors and all - on an old computer. It comes from a former roommate who's name has been removed from the document and my thoughts. And if any of you think it is unfair to post this, please be advised that he was a spoiled brat, pain in the neck, the reason why my laptop got stolen, and one of the people who abandoned me when the hydro bill came in and the power was cut.

A Humble Apology Regarding the "Inconvenience" at the Crane Pavilion
To the Esteemed Board of Directors and our Valued Guests, Please accept my most sincere and profound apologies. At the Izumi-no-Yu Ryokan, we pride ourselves on Omotenashi—the spirit of selfless hospitality. However, regarding the events of last Tuesday evening, it appears our spirit was, perhaps, a bit too restless.

It’s 11:59 PM on a Saturday… Guess What Just Broke?
It never happens on a Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. when the repair shop is open, the hardware store is stocked, and your neighbor Dave (who allegedly “knows about wiring”) is still awake. No, no… Life saves its most catastrophic breakdowns for the sacred hour between 11:59 p.m. Saturday and 2:00 a.m. Sunday, when every professional you might call is either asleep, closed, or at karaoke belting out a chorus of “Sweet Caroline.”

Why Didn't You Give Me A Top Story?. Content Warning.
Introduction Obviously, this is fictional because the support person actually has a meaningful dialogue with the protagonist. The protagonist is dismissed, but you can see that this is a total slice of ham fiction.

The God Of The Switch. Content Warning.
Introduction Seriously, most of us don't have a clue how anything works, we just expect it to work, and if it stops we call someone to come and fix it, but we could never fix it ourselves could we? These are just some observations on the things in everyday life

Cold Feet
I’m sorry. I don’t even know where to begin, because what I did isn’t something that fits neatly into words. I know your body must still be in shock—that the memory of it doesn’t just live in your mind, but lingers in you, surfacing when you least expect it. And I know there are moments when the thought of what I did makes you shudder, like your whole being is trying to recoil from it. I hate that I am the cause of that, that I put something so heavy and unsettling into your world. I could feel your body going into shock and the goosebumps rising on your arms. Your stillness as you lie there makes me feel guilty, especially when you suck in air with your teeth. However, I also need to be honest: sorry but I am not sorry.

Waiting Rooms: Purgatory with Magazines from 1997
Welcome, fellow time travelers, to the place where minutes stretch into geologic eras, where coffee is both free and a cry for help, and where every decorative fern has seen things it will never unsee. Today, we stroll bravely into Waiting Rooms… those beige vestibules of destiny, armed with nothing but a pen on a chain and a blood pressure of “why am I sweating, it’s 68°F in here?”
