The products that ACTUALLY helped my acne
My skin-care journey started sometime when I turned 14 and acne began to make its way on my face. For years to come, I would suffer mentally due to my skin. The amount of stress anyone can get from acne and skin conditions shouldn't be taken lightly. I spent months and months trying to hide my face from people so they wouldn't see my acne. After spending hundreds of dollars on prescribed medications and creams from dermatologists I was losing hope. That being said I want to share some important points on what helped me go from troubled to clear skin!

Billy's Book: the beginning of a forgotten life
Preface: My mother wrote this piece of fiction after she had a dream about this story. I helped her edit it, and she is now working on making more chapters of this story. She hopes to publish into a novel one day. She has dreamed of writing stories for years and I hope soon she can enjoy herself more. After she was diagnosed with Leukemia last year we realized that life is to be enjoyed and we should try to live it to the fullest. Please enjoy her work!

Is the concept of bail bonds classist?
After learning more about the legal system of bail bonds, I realized that the whole concept does not sit right with me. I could talk forever about the things unfair within the U.S legal system though, so today I will focus on bail bonds and why they are classist.

The best of Hi Fructose artists
In the modern-day, we would easily forget about aspiring artists if it wasn't for magazines, pop culture, and news. Although art is such a big part of our lives, we must realize the best of it isn't behind us. Here are some of my personal favorite artists who were featured in Hi Fructose the contemporary art magazine.

A few things that shocked me while living in Korea
My first trip to Korea was in the fall of 2019 before COVID put so much red tape around everyday life. Thinking back, that trip is like a fever dream. On my first trip, I truly lived like a tourist in South Korea, but since I've met my boyfriend I have been able to have a deeper understanding of the people and culture. That said, on my first trip, there were many things I found surprising and interesting about this country compared to America.

Variety is the spice of Korean side dishes
The number of side dishes in Korean cuisine is so immense that Koreans themselves do not know how many different types actually exist. That is because over time, the amount grew so large, and it's also possible to invent your own type of side dish. Ultimately making it impossible to count how many there are. Most side dishes also take hard work to make, and many mothers in Korea can spend all day cooking just 1 or 2 types of banchan.

Stellaluna: the fruit bat that filled my childhood
Until the age of about 12, I waited every night for my mom to read me a bedtime story. That may seem a little old for a bedtime story, but my rotation of books had become so enticing I read them by myself long after my mom stopped. Among my most-read stories were books such as Trouble in Walla Walla, Aunt Flossie's Hats (and crab cakes later), The Rough face girl, Bad Kitty, Autumn, and one of my heaviest rotations; Stellaluna.

Songs that helped me feel pride
Ever since I was young, I had a great love for music. In fact, one of my biggest fears as a child was that the world would run out of new songs and that creativity would cease. Thankfully that fear was unfounded! To this day, music is such a big part of my life, I even dream of becoming a lyricist and co-producer. One of the reasons I am so passionate about music is because when I felt alone, the music of artists like Fall out Boy, Lady Gaga, and BTS was always there for me. The reason I accept myself this much today is thanks to the messages I heard from musical artists. I and many others found solace and truth in the fact we were born this way. So, in this playlist, I want to list new and old songs whose iconic presence shaped my life, gave me confidence, and helped me find community.
