Liz Truss is likely to be the next Prime Minister by September 5. According to polls, among the 150,000 members of the Conservative party, Liz Truss is the clear winner. Her rival Former chancellor Rishi Sunak has no chance to beat Ms. Truss apparently.

Johnson Ends Up Bottom Of Tory Poll in Popularity.
A poll commissioned by a Conservative website asked who could replace Boris Johnson. Liz Truss slotted in as third preference where as Rishi Sunak would appear to be out of the running. Mr Sunak once touted as Boris' heir apparent is now unpopular in the party. Mr Sunak has come unstuck because of his financial assets and also his marriage to Akshata Murthy. Liz Truss the current Foreign Minister imagines herself to be another Margaret Thatcher. However, Ms Truss though popular only managed to get into third postion.

Taliban Target Minorities.
One remembers the awful images of Afghan civilians running after Allied planes as they flew out of Kabul. The terrible image of a man falling from an Allied plane as it took off. Of Afghan civilians flinging their babies over walls to American and British soldiers. Of Afghans hoping they had the right papers so they could leave with the Allied forces. Many did get out and many are still waiting to get out. Afghans that worked for the former regime and/or the Allies are now in fear of their lives. They are being systematically hunted down by the Taliban.

Russia Making Gains In The East.
Russia's campaign in the west of Ukraine has been a total and utter diaster. Russia thought western Ukraine would fall and Kyiv would be in Russian hands. However, as we know Vlad the Invader miscalculated big time. He did not anticipate that Ukraine would defend its nation to the death. Putin did not also take into account how vulnerable his forces would be to western supplied weapons.

Prince Charles Voices Opinion On Rwanda.
Priti Patel's Rwanda policy will go ahead as she wanted. Lawyers acting on behalf of migrants failed to get flights stopped. That means now the first flight bound for Rwanda will take off as scheduled on 14 June. The first 30 migrants will be facing a future in what is a backwater African nation.
