Iran and Israel: Still Playing A Dangerous Game.
Hezbollah started out as a resistance movement to Israel. Since then the militia has grown steadily backed, supported, and supplied by Iran. Hezbollah and Israel fought a war in 2006, that ended in a stalemate. However, some historians believe that Hezbollah won that war. A UN- brokered ceasefire brought this conflict to an end.

Iran and Israel: Dangerous Game.
Israel and Iran have been locked in a deadly duel for decades. Ever since Ayatollah Khomeini came to power in 1979, both nations have been at loggerheads. Israel did help Iran briefly, in the First Gulf War of 1980 - 1981. Iraq was a common enemy of Israel and Iran. Israel helped the Iranians with weapons. Sadly, that moment in history is a blip in an otherwise confrontational relationship.

Daniel Herzog: "Act of War But We Want Peace". Really?
The President of Israel Daniel Herzog is President in name only. Unlike say someone like President Biden, Herzog's role is a ceremonial role like the British Monarch. Herzog has views on certain things and no doubt, he discusses them with Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu. Many countries have political or royal heads of state who wield no power. The real power lies in the hands of the Prime Minister, in this case, Bibi Netanyahu.

Buddhist Extremism and Military Junta.
Myanmar formerly Burma was once part of the British Empire. It was the scene of fighting during WW II between Allied forces and Japanese forces. Japan captured the British territory of Burma. The Japanese Imperial Forces held onto Burma for a number of years while British forces fell back to India. British, Indian, American, and others had to learn to fight and be stealthy like their Japanese foes. Meanwhile, Japanese forces invaded India near the town of Imphal. However, after much fighting the Japanese were pushed back. An Allied counter-offensive was launched equal to the ferocious Imperial Japanese forces. Eventually, Allied forces took back Rangoon (Burmese/Myanmarian capital) while the Japanese fled. A bit of history for you, feel free to correct me!

Labour: 99% Sure of Winning.
If a general election were called now, Labour is 99% likely to win it. This is according to Poll Guru John Curtis. This will be music to the ears of Keir Starmer. However, it will be sounding alarm bells to Sunak. Hence this is why Rishi Sunak has chosen to hold a general election in the autumn. Starmer said Rishi has "Bottled it"!

Heaven for Starmer, Hell for Sunak.
A new poll unveiled by 'MRP Mega Poll' has revealed that in the coming general election, Labour will have a 154-seat majority up on January's prediction of getting 120 seats. This will be a cause for celebration in Labour ranks. However, despite poll after poll showing Labour way out in front, Sir Keir Starmer has warned His party not to be complacent. There still might be that chance that (God forbid) the Tories can turn their fortunes around. After all, as Maggie Thatcher said, "The only poll that matters is the general election".

UK May Suspend Arms Sales to Israel.
Benjamin Netanyahu quickly took the airwaves saying the IDF had struck a 'World Central Kitchen' convoy by mistake. Netanyahu expressed his grief over "innocent people" and that the strike was "unintentional". Spokesman for the IDF Daniel Hagari also repeated the same words. However, how sincere Netanyahu and Hagarai are remains known only to them.

J K Rowling: "Come Arrest Me"!
Harry Potter Author J K Rowling has challenged Police Scotland to arrest her. Rowling's comments about transgender people would likely be charged with incitement under new hate laws. Scottish First Minister Humza Yufaf said He is "Proud" of these laws that will protect those against a "rising tide" of hate. The law protects certain communities, however, the law has been criticised for not protecting women and girls. One of those groups is the trans community which J K Rowling attacked in a Tweet (or an X). Many trans athletes have been participating in women's sports and winning saying they are women. Yet, they still had a man's testosterone and the strength to boot, as well as sexual attacks on women and girls by transgender men. J K Rowling believes a man is a man and a woman is a woman. Whether the LGBTQ community likes it or not, that is just a biological fact.

More Thoughts from Darok
Where am I? It gets so confusing being on this planet Earth. I miss the red and orange landscape of my native world. You, humans love intense white light, I do not. I am not blaming you, you are the third planet from the zone, so your proximity creates such natural white light. Even your artificial light is white, again that is a reflection of what your eyes are used to.

Trump: Israel Needs to Stop Now!
Donald Trump like Joe Biden is an out-and-out Zionist. In other words. he backs Israel to the hilt, good or bad, better or worse. Trump's Son-in-Law, the lovable Jared Kushner (joking!) is Jewish and married to Trump's daughter. He was the man behind the Abraham Accords in Trump's last administration. The plan was to bring Israel and Arab countries together like Qatar, UAE, etc. The peace between the Jewish state and these nations remains largely intact despite the Hamas-Israel war (if it can be called that!). The Abraham Accords left out the Palestinians. Trump had planned to give the Palestinians limited autonomy but not a full state. The Palestinians rejected this because it fell short of giving them what they wanted. Trump in retaliation cut off aid for the Palestinians during his presidency. Presumably, Joe Biden has restored US aid to the Palestinian Authority but not Hamas.
