Former Chancellor George Osborne said in 2015 that Britain had entered a "golden age" with China. That was at a time when Elizabeth II entertained the Chinese President and rode with him in the Golden Coach. Things back then seemed rosy during Xi's state visit to the UK. David Cameron even took him to his local in his constituency in Oxfordshire for a pint at his local in Witney.

Sir Keir Starmer obviously knows that migration and immigration will be big topics at the next general election. People like Nigel Farage may be taking to politics again as he knows people entering the UK is once more a significant issue. Whether he will form his own party or rejoin the Reform Party formerly the Brexit party remains to be seen.

Matt Hancock was the Health Secretary when Boris Johnson was Prime Minister. Hancock had overseen the response to waves of Covid and the responding lockdowns. When historians look back on this period of time some will think under the circumstances the government handled it well. And there will be those who will take the opposite view.

The question has to be posed do people like MP Matt Hancock and Rock Star Boy George really need to appear in 'I'm A Celeb'? Boy George or George O'Dowd is the singer in one of the most successful 80s bands who still tour. The man is a multi-millionaire perhaps a billionaire who recently sold his £18 million mansion in an exclusive area of London. Plus all the money he makes from performing with Mikey Craig, and Roy Hay, aka Culture Club. John Moss seems to have departed the band a while ago.
