The Crown Holder (2017) — Critical Analysis
In The Crown Holder (2017), authority is depicted not as stability or triumph, but as a precarious symbolic construction suspended between power, performance, and fragmentation. The painting presents a floating assemblage of abstracted forms that evoke a crowned figure emerging from darkness, yet the image remains intentionally unstable, resisting fixed identity and clear narrative resolution.

Hunter (2017) — Critical Analysis
In Hunter (2017), the act of pursuit is transformed into a symbolic and psychological condition rather than a literal narrative event. Through fractured abstraction, hybridized forms, and an atmosphere of suspended tension, the painting explores themes of instinct, survival, domination, and perception. The work approaches the figure of the hunter not as an individual subject, but as an archetype embedded within systems of desire, power, and existential confrontation.

Ida Shaghoian and the Quiet Power of Water in Contemporary Painting. AI-Generated.
Ida Shaghoian is a contemporary painter whose work explores the dialogue between memory, emotion, and the natural world. With a visual style that blends abstraction and realism, her paintings are layered with vibrant color, textured surfaces, and subtle atmospheric details that encourage viewers to reflect on their own emotional experiences. Across many interpretations of her artistic themes, water emerges as a recurring symbolic presence that represents memory, emotional movement, and the evolving nature of identity. Rivers, reflections, and fluid surfaces become more than visual details. They function as emotional metaphors that connect viewers to ideas of change, introspection, and personal transformation.

Lady Lotus By A Strong Women
Lady Lotus by a Strong Woman The world is full of amazing and strange art, and I was fortunate enough to run into a beautiful masterpiece created by Hung Liu, Lady Lotus. I was blessed to come across this painting and photograph by Hung Liu in the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts . Though many art pieces were interesting, beautiful, and very strange, this painting caught my attention due to the intricate colors, the imagery of the background and how the painting seemed to be melting off. Hung Liu had many other art pieces besides Lady Lotus, all of which can be found on a site dedicated to her work alone. Though Liu and her art made a big commotion on American soil, that is not where Liu’s story originates nor where her art began.
