Hi, I'm Muchtar and I write some fiction and poetry. I'd like to recommend this story by the amazing writer, R. C. Taylor: https://vocal.media/fiction/the-clock-drawing-test

Skyler Saunders published this recently. It was informative, poetic, and unifying. https://vocal.media/theSwamp/it-s-black-history-month

I would love to see more Black History pieces for February since it is Black History month. Please see me. My poem on hotcombs was nominated below. Here it is again just in case you choose to honor it. https://vocal.media/poets/hotcomb-hotcomb-stay-far-far-away#comment-98579095-88ef-4394-80d5-ef3f7a887ffe

Really enjoyed this recent submission to the abecedarian challenge - really relevant and a unique take on the challenge by Joe O'Connor. https://vocal.media/poets/the-ab-cs-they-didn-t-teach-you

I'm a bit biased by the subject matter, including a poem I wrote a while ago also about seagulls. But even so, the imagery and message in "The Gulls" by Ava Mack completely hold their own. One of the best pieces I've read on Vocal: https://vocal.media/poets/the-gulls

Letizia Loi and I just recently struck up one of those Vocal friendships of the kind I've so come to value in my years submitting to this platform. As a newcomer Letizia has only published two pieces thus far, so let's all welcome her and here's hoping we'll see more work from her soon. Here's my favourite of the pair, which might not surprise those of you who know me since it's Shakespeare-related, or perhaps rather a "Shakespeare What-If!" I do love a good retelling, and while it may help you to be acquainted with the original play beforehand, Letizia's inventiveness and powerful use of imagery can be enjoyed by all. You can read "She is The Tempest" at the link below: https://vocal.media/fiction/she-is-the-tempest

Emmy B is a great storyteller. I love how she brought life to an everyday inanimate object with this story. https://vocal.media/fiction/no-prob-llama

  • Here's my five which I think should be Top Stories: You always learn something from the writing of A B Forbes https://vocal.media/earth/every-day-s-a-school-day I loved this Misplaced story from Eloise Robertson https://vocal.media/fiction/minion-s-misplaced-misery A beautiful Poem from Danielle Elizabeth Andrews https://vocal.media/poets/a-rain-dance-in-summer A physics based Abecedarian from Heather Hubler https://vocal.media/poets/subatomic-rave A Greatful Dead Abecedarian from Xine Segalas https://vocal.media/poets/a-to-z-with-the-grateful-dead

Hi, there! I'm sleepy drafts/sleepy/em :) I've been on Vocal since 2021 and mostly write fiction and poetry. I absolutely loved this poem, "Kiss the Sky" by Hannah Moore. I found Hannah's use of language incredibly clever and evocative in this abecedarian poem! 😄💕 I hope everyone is having a great week! https://vocal.media/poets/kiss-the-sky

  • Hannah Mooreabout a month ago

Finally this my Joe O'Connor, I really enjoyed how he used the rhythm to really create the feelings the words were pointing at. https://vocal.media/poets/making-a-move-5w8x0bqf

And this poem, from Matthew Fromm, was like a call to joy, I'd have followed him out the door. https://vocal.media/poets/of-machines-and-men

This poem from Bri Craig is just, for want of greater eloquence, so true. https://vocal.media/poets/my-mother-taught-me-my-ab-cs

Bit too busy this week, but just popping in with a few I read back in the balmy hours of the weekend. This, by Sean Elliott, I thought was a brilliant poem, so much unpacked in such a telling package: https://vocal.media/poets/things-discarded-an-incomplete-list
