Mental health and how people neglect it.

Mental wellness means the state of being mentally healthy or healthy mentally. It is important to understand that this term has a few different meanings. The first meaning relates to the ability of an individual to function well and perform at their best. The second meaning refers to an individual’s sense of well-being such as their emotions and mood, as well as a relationship with those around them.

People often underestimate the importance of mental health. It is important to understand how it affects us and the way we see things. People understate their mental health problems because they are ashamed to admit that they’re not as normal as everyone else. Sometimes, it can be hard for people to admit that what’s going on with them is a mental health problem.

What happens if our mental health is not stable?

Having good mental health means having the ability to cope with life, to develop fulfilling relationships, and to lead a meaningful life. Mental health problems - called psychological disorders - can affect people's ability to work, sleep, eat and think clearly. Some people are more vulnerable than others to developing a mental illness; they may feel more isolated or embarrassed because they have some symptoms of a disorder. Sometimes we don't know why someone has a mental illness, but it can happen even if someone has never felt depressed or anxious before.

Unfortunately, psychiatric illnesses aren’t going away any time soon. In fact, according to The World Health Organization, new cases were just as likely in the past year as ever before. Severe depressive disorders are one of the most common mental health problems worldwide and it is affecting 1 in every 30 people aged 15-24 years.

Mental health is no laughing matter, so we should all try to help people suffering from mental health issues. It could be as simple as making your next group chat with friends or family more inclusive. Mental health conditions can make it difficult for people to find support and treatment, and the struggle can be exhausting.

Two division of psychological disorder

The two main kinds of psychological disorders are Personality Disorders and Mental Disorders.

  1. Personality disorders are a group of problems in a person's thinking, feeling, and behaving that cause difficulties for them and for others. Personality disorders are usually severe and long-lasting. People with personality disorders are often very difficult to know, just like people with mental illnesses such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder: they may be able to hide their illness very well through denial and masking their true feelings.
  2. A mental disorder is a problem that occurs in the mind or nervous system. Mental disorders include disorders such as anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and many others. Mental disorders can be caused by a variety of things such as genetics, environment and may be influenced by other health problems. In these cases, it is often difficult to diagnose what exactly is causing the mental health problem. The most common mental health problems shared among males and females are depression, anxiety and psychosis

How to help someone facing such problems in life?

Most of us want to help, but don’t know how. This is where you come in - as someone who wants to put yourself in someone else’s shoes, you can help create a better world for people with mental health issues. If someone is having a psychological disorder, there are a number of things you can do. First, speak to the person in private about how their behavior may be affecting other people and work with them to find the best solution for everyone involved. It’s important to encourage the person with mental health problems to seek professional help; however, it can be difficult for family members and friends to recognize that they might have an issue as well. Do not feel bad or guilty if you can't help your loved one because there are many situations in which it is best to leave someone else make decisions about treatment assistance.

To those who are afraid to seek help,

There are so many things that can be going on inside of you that you may not be aware of. This can make it difficult to deal with situations whether they are personal or professional as well as left untreated, it can lead to serious problems. If you feel you might have a psychological disorder and need help, I sincerely suggest you to reach out for help and hope this short article has helped you to get an idea of what mental wellness is, how to recognize it and what you need to do if someone close to you is struggling.
