As fun as it is to spend time outdoors in the summer, the heat can make a strenuous workout absolutely miserable. What might have come easy for you in the spring or fall might feel impossible when you factor in higher heat and humidity. And yet, you can't very well give up on your exercise routine for three months. You need to maintain your good habits, if only to take advantage of the pleasant summer days that you will experience.

The heat of the summer season can feel a bit overwhelming depending on where you live. Instead of hiding from the sun, how about going outside and taking advantage of that heat to help you melt and burn even more fat. Plus, there are some activities you can't really do in the other seasons and so much beautiful scenery outdoors you can see while you are getting your body in shape. Your workouts do not have to be so monotonous, leaving you dreading the next day. Running is the best thing ever. You don't need any expensive equipment, other than a sports bra (maybe two, no one wants to be knocked out by a renegade tit to the face) and a pair of running shoes.
