9 Muscle Myths Debunked
Lifting Weights Produces Bulky Muscles Many women are concerned about gaining too much muscle mass so they avoid lifting weights. This is a myth that prevents women from realizing the benefits of strength training, like increased bone strength. Women do not naturally produce enough testosterone to build bulky muscles and should not allow this fear to stopping them from incorporating strength training into their exercise routine.

Y'all get ready, because this is a long one. Hopefully, I made it entertaining to read with my sad life. Picture this, alright? I'm eighteen years old. I started college. I went to the gym for the first week religiously, because I promised myself that in college I'd get 'That Body.' Y'all know what I'm talking about. I wanted abs, the lean legs, the perky butt. Before, you see, I looked like a saggy Kim K.

Y’all, this is me. I can’t believe I ever got that unhealthy. I don’t like the word fat, but it’s fairly accurate. After having our first son, I stopped working out almost entirely. Being active duty military, I still had to meet certain requirements. I still met them, but I didn’t exceed them by any means. Once I hit this low point, (left photo) I decided it was time to get healthy. However, I didn’t know what my goal was. My inspiration came from my oldest son, who firmly believes that I am Captain America. I decided I wanted to cosplay the star spangled man with the plan, but I didn’t want to be one of the chubby heroes at Comic-Con. I wanted to be the type of guy that my son could still believe in. So, I started out rough. I have free access to a gym on base, but I figured if I’m paying for it I’m more likely to use it. So I got my planet fitness membership. It was slow going at first. I was barely able to bench 90 pounds. I couldn’t curl more than like 20 pounds. I was out of shape and not anywhere close.
Kyle TaylorPublished 5 years ago in LongevityEasily Bored? This Is What You Should Focus on While Jogging
No matter how motivated you are, and how determined you are to make running an integral part of your life, you’re going to become bored with your regular run. Jogging down the same road, passing the same sights, and perhaps even listening to the same music can get tiring after a while. You may think it won’t when you first start out, but try keeping the momentum going for months or years. Anyone would struggle with that.

This last group of weeks has been all about work and getting back into the exercise groove. I am back to going to the YMCA for aqua aerobics twice a week. I get in as many steps as I can during my work days and try to get in any other form of exercise that I can. Here is what I have been up to...

Victoria LimPublished 5 years ago in Longevity4 Week Pregnancy Workout Routine Plan
Need a workout that will ease some of the aches and pains of pregnancy, while making you stronger and feel good about yourself? Then try the following exercises on a daily basis (or alternate days, as you feel) and add some stretching for flexibility. Stretching of large muscle groups like quads, hamstrings, chest, and back will help to prevent pregnancy-induced injuries and relieve discomfort. Another benefit of exercising in pregnancy is that you’ll not gain any unnecessary weight and post-partum your body will return to normal in no time.
