18 year old has stage 5 kidney failure
A girl named Thien Thien (18 years old, in China) shared on the social networking site "Xiaohongshu" about her case of kidney failure. She said that before she got sick, she was working as a worker at a mechanical manufacturing factory. Some time ago, she discovered that her legs were swollen for unknown reasons. Worried about her health, Thien Thien and her parents went to the hospital for a checkup.
Thien Thien shared: "When I heard the diagnosis, I was extremely shocked. In the first days, I could not accept that I had the disease. I often vomited because of the illness and had to take a lot of medicine. Every week I I also had to go to the hospital for examination three times. The doctor said I had to undergo dialysis until there was a suitable kidney for transplant, but at this time there are about 2,000 people waiting for a kidney transplant .
Because of her poor health, Thien Thien could not continue working and had no income. The difficult situation made Thien Thien become negative.

Recognize symptoms early to "save" your kidneys
Dr. Giang Thu Son, a nephrologist at Tan Quang Hospital, Taiwan (China), said that kidney failure seriously affects health, so early recognition of the signs of the disease is essential. Very important, helping to "save" the kidneys. According to experts, some warning signs of kidney failure can include:
1. Blood in urine
Kidney problems can affect the blood filtration process. This can lead to blood cells leaking out into the urine.
The urine of healthy people contains only a small amount of protein. However, if the glomerular filtration function is disturbed, it can lead to protein being excreted through the urine, causing foam or cloudy urine.
3. Frequent urination, nocturia
Frequent urination, frequent urination, especially at night, can be a sign of kidney disease. The cause is impaired kidney filtration function.
Weakened kidney function can lead to a buildup of large amounts of sodium in the body. This causes swelling in the patient's feet and ankles.

5. Fatigue, physical weakness
This is a sign that can easily be confused with other diseases. When kidney failure occurs, a strange taste may appear in the patient's mouth, affecting taste buds and leading to loss of appetite.
7. Back pain or pain in the lumbar region
When the kidney's filtering function is impaired, it will cause an electrolyte imbalance in the body, causing fluid retention, leading to pain in the kidney fossa and causing pain at the waist.
8. Nausea and vomiting
Kidney failure causes symptoms such as constant nausea and vomiting. The reason is that waste accumulated in the body needs to be eliminated.
Dr. Giang emphasized that if the body shows at least 1 of the 8 signs mentioned above and these signs last for a long time without a clear cause, people need to go to the hospital for examination to detect and treat the disease promptly (if any). Early detection and timely treatment will help patients limit the risk of the disease progressing to a serious level or the risk of having to undergo lifelong dialysis.
