DI-Why?. Top Story - November 2023.
Yep this is a Temu thing. An impulse thing. A Get Myself In The Spirit thing. It’s a camisole jumpsuit, because it would look amazing on my body type maybe if I am lucky and everyone squints and I stay either standing up straight or laying down flat, and sometimes mama buys stuff when she should be sleeping.

Norm’s Diner Comes Out Fighting!. Top Story - November 2023.
A restaurant in the US is charging some of its customers for their inability to control their children while they dine there. Hidden away at the bottom of its menu, the Toccoa Riverside Restaurant tells its diners of its “adult surcharge” — adding three dollar signs next to the words: “For adults unable to parent.”- Sky News, 29 October 2023

The Five Types of Meat You Get in Heaven. Top Story - November 2023.
Note: my head has been in a weird place over the last few days. I have just lost my godmother after a very long illness, and even though it was not a surprise, I am still getting used to a world without her love, attitude...and wicked sense of humour. I had this in a notebook for quite a while, and I needed a laugh at the exact moment when I rediscovered it this morning. The title of Mitch Albom's book was perfect for a parody...

- Heartsy -. Top Story - October 2023.
TYPE ~ You Just Know ~ If people were to admit it to be so, most aren't even honest with themselves, what really attracts those to the opposite sex or neutral sex for that matter? Do we have a 'Choice' – Our heads rarely listen to our hearts! What comes 'naturally' – what does the heart want? It will tell you what to do. But 'scent' is what attracts (pheromones) me most; the aroma. If I were to say blue eyed blond, you'd think I was just an eye man; nothing more. Some say personality and others have 'lists' of attraction-explanations. When being 'honest' interested parties 1st have to get past initial physical-attraction. I believe most people have preferences when it comes to physical attributes, but oftentimes other qualities override these considerations, of course.

Harlequinade. Top Story - October 2023.
Dear Sweet Looney Partner, With Halloween around the corner, you would expect a spooky story from me. Let me surprise you with a funny story instead! Heads up, please don’t read this while drinking anything. I’m not responsible if you shoot fluid out of your nose or mouth. Let me take you back to when I was four years old. My parents brought me to the airport because someone was going somewhere or maybe someone was arriving from somewhere. Don’t know, don’t care. My parents were busy talking to the other adults, whoever they were. I was left unsupervised but I was too afraid to leave my parents’ side, so I let my eyes wander. They wandered far and wide until they landed on a very cute boy. He seemed to be around my age. He held a packet of potato chips in his hand. I was mesmerized watching him stylishly bring one chip after another to his mouth with his other hand. I surveyed the adults around him. They too were engaged in conversation. All I needed to know was that he was unsupervised as well. I gave my parents one last look before leaving their side. I was careful not to make any sudden movement to prevent the boy from getting scared of me and I didn’t want my parents to know that I was sneaking away. Finally, I was right in front of him. He stopped eating and smiled at me. I smiled back at him. My smile then evolved into a grin and he followed suit. I slowly brought my right hand to his left cheek and caressed it. He just stood there rigid and wide-eyed, confused at what was going on. I caressed his cheek a little while longer. I kept watching his eyes, bidding my time and it finally came when he closed his eyes a little too long before opening them up again. SMACK! That fool almost fell as an aftermath of my slap. I then pried the packet of potato chips out of his hands and bolted. I had a head start because it took him a few seconds to realize what had happened before he started chasing me while crying loudly. Hahahahahahahahahahahaha, what a loser! His howls alerted all the adults around us because this boy was LOUD! See, this was the flaw in my plan. My undoing. I should have threatened him to keep quiet or lured him somewhere isolated. But I shouldn’t be too hard on myself. I was just four and didn’t have much experience in scheming. Oh yes, back to the story. His parents were chasing him and mine were chasing me in the middle of a busy airport. Finally, my parents caught me and snatched the potato chips out of my hands. The boy’s parents were trying to calm him down but to no avail. He only stopped when he got back his potato chips. My parents then apologized to him and his parents and made me do it too. I know, the audacity ! Now you’re probably wondering what happened to me after that. Nothing much at the airport but after we got back home, I got spanked so hard! No worries, it didn’t stop me from committing other mischievous deeds but that’s a story for another letter. I know you’ve been going through a tough time and I hope my story made you smile. Sincerely, The-Boy-Slapping-and-Potato-Chip-Stealing Thief ~~~~~ Author’s Notes: Yes, this was based on true events! 🤣 This was written for Heather Hubler’s Write Me A Letter Challenge . Surprisingly, as per the rules, I actually used all 26 letters of the alphabet!

Myself and Vocal Investment. Top Story - October 2023.
Two lines of code inside a computer having an earnest conversation. Have you already invested? Vocal asked hopefully. I tried my best, but some misunderstandings have left me extremely flabbergasted. My investment is still pending, probably not gonna happen right now. I answered, feeling deflated and a bit sad.

The Sacred Vows. Top Story - October 2023.
– Marital Memories ~ We make our own Beds – Disclosure: Please note this was written entirely by a 'Male' as if you didn't already know – Hmm – Husbands do make concessions to keep the peace. Of course a 'counter' story could be written by almost any wife - I'm grabbing my ankles expecting to receive an onslaught of them.

An Open Letter To Quay Walker. Top Story - October 2023.
To Quay Walker, linebacker for the Green Bay Packers, you don’t know me. But I know you. Well, I know who you are, anyway. I wanted to write this letter to you, as a fan of football. I see you play many weeks of the year, and I imagine this last week was a tough one for you. As a reminder to you, and to others reading this letter, it was week 4 of your current season… the Thursday night game… that’s the genesis of the toughness as I would presume.

Sugar Daddy. Top Story - October 2023.
? THIS or THAT ? I am a noted Stick-Figure-Artist, who can't even stay within the lines of Paint-By-Numbers. This fabulous artist said that the inspiration for her gorgeous watercolor was when she asked her friends their 'CHOICE' of favorite childhood treats. Some said "Hostess-Twinkies—Others Helms-Truck Pastries," hearing the tweet of the Bakery trucks coming down their street, from their stomachs even before their ears.
