Hilarious
Dude!!. Honorable Mention in Sorry About That Challenge.
I been looking for you everywhere to apologize. I know you're standing behind that door, so I'm just going to say it. I just wanted to say that I'm sorry about how things went at your party. I didn't know that my mom's would come there looking for me, I didn't!

Where the Map Made No Sense
Marlena: I’d just completed my master’s degree and had returned to my native Germany from Copenhagen. I found that all my peers had automatically adopted the mindset of being grown-ups and were systematically embarking on the sensible path of getting jobs, building up their careers and earning money.

A Roommate Apologizes.... Top Story - May 2026.
Note: More cleaning up has revealed more documents I thought were lost for good. I found the following apology - spelling errors and all - on an old computer. It comes from a former roommate who's name has been removed from the document and my thoughts. And if any of you think it is unfair to post this, please be advised that he was a spoiled brat, pain in the neck, the reason why my laptop got stolen, and one of the people who abandoned me when the hydro bill came in and the power was cut.

It’s 11:59 PM on a Saturday… Guess What Just Broke?
It never happens on a Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. when the repair shop is open, the hardware store is stocked, and your neighbor Dave (who allegedly “knows about wiring”) is still awake. No, no… Life saves its most catastrophic breakdowns for the sacred hour between 11:59 p.m. Saturday and 2:00 a.m. Sunday, when every professional you might call is either asleep, closed, or at karaoke belting out a chorus of “Sweet Caroline.”

Waiting Rooms: Purgatory with Magazines from 1997
Welcome, fellow time travelers, to the place where minutes stretch into geologic eras, where coffee is both free and a cry for help, and where every decorative fern has seen things it will never unsee. Today, we stroll bravely into Waiting Rooms… those beige vestibules of destiny, armed with nothing but a pen on a chain and a blood pressure of “why am I sweating, it’s 68°F in here?”

I Fed One Cat
I want to begin by saying I’m sorry. I’m aware that starting this way may sound rehearsed, but it’s important to me that you know I recognize the inconvenience, and more than that, the distress, that has resulted from my actions. I should have spoken sooner. I should have explained things before they developed to their current scale. And for that, I sincerely apologize.

It's the Wasps, Man. Runner-Up in Sorry About That Challenge.
Look, I’m sorry your car got torched. And your house. I’m not sorry about the garage going up, because at least your mother-in-law can’t squat like a harpy up there anymore, yelling at me every time I got outside. I am sorry she may have gotten doused with my garden hose a few times, I swear I was trying to put out the fire. And missed. Many times.

From Hot Yoga to Hot Bingo: A Field Guide to Accidentally Getting Old
Greetings, youthful spirits trapped in increasingly squeaky bodies! At some point in life, without any fanfare, warning signs, or commemorative plaque, we all make the quiet, shuffling transition from “fun and fearless” to “fun and mildly concerned about lower-back support.”
