Survivor: Island of the Idols Episode 10
Wow, what an amazing episode of Survivor tonight! First off, nice blindsides. Aaron & Missy are now gone. They were too big threats so it was interesting to see them go. But also, now Elizabeth has to fight for her life. So, that'll be a challenge all on her own. Especially since after that, when Tommy & Lauren were reunited, they agreed on taking her out. But then Dean swooped in to see to that not happening. Dean's fear was that all of the "goats" in the game would team up and take out the strong players if Elizabeth went home. It made sense, but Tommy was still adamant on getting Elizabeth out. She voted him; he wants her gone.

'Survivor: Island of the Idols' Episode 9
Well, after such a controversial and big episode last week, entering into this episode is quite the experience. And wow, what an episode it was. First off, Jamal was voted out; decent move, though I did want to see Dan get booted after that whole thing. Anyway, back at camp, I'm proud that Janet didn't quit. I hope she wins it all. She is the strongest person in the game emotionally and it's great she didn't quit. Then, a rat crawled in Karishma's mouth, freaking her out. And then, she slept in and didn't do any work. Not a good move for someone on the outs. So, it seemed obvious that she'd get booted out. But then, she found an idol. Looks like she won't be gone anytime soon. But she showed up an hour later, only to fake sick to make the excuse. But, then Lauren, Tommy & Noura said they'd call over the doctor for her. But, she refused and said she felt better after drinking some water, though Noura was quick not to believe that. But for now, that doctor situation seemed to be avoided.

'Survivor: Island of the Idols' Episode 8
Wow! What an amazing double episode of Survivor tonight! First off, nice job on the blindside, Kellee & Dean. Great move, until Noura outed you after tribal. Then, there's damage control. Luckily, Janet believed Kellee, but Jamal didn't. But, Kellee then found the idol! So, Kellee isn't in that bad of a spot! Plus, THE MERGE! The tribes are all together into one! And now, it's a brand new game. Some want Vokai vs Lairo, some want mixed, but Tommy wants his own game. Kellee & Janet don't want to join up with Tommy and the new Vokai, then it's nine and they are at the bottom. They want all Vokai, take out all Lairo starting with the four Lairo from the new Vokai and Missy as the first vote. But, Tommy doesn't want that. So, it's a brand new game, who knows who will vote who.

'Survivor: Island of the Idols' Episode 7
Before I say anything about tonight's episode, I must acknowledge that there has been a tragic loss in the Survivor community. Survivor: Borneo castaway, Rudy Boesch, passed away on November 1. Incredibly tragic news, couldn't help but cry when I heard. He was one of the original castaways in Survivor, he always spoke his mind, he was part of the first Survivor alliance, he fought for our country, and still holds the record for oldest Survivor contestant, first playing at 72. He was definitely a real, original person who spoke his mind, went by how he wanted, is one of the most respectable and legendary Survivors of all time. Thank you, Rudy and you'll be missed.

'Survivor: Island of the Idols' Episode 6
Wow! What an amazing episode of Survivor tonight! First off, good move getting Tom out. It was the right call, anyway, then the game gets hectic. It's usually after the first vote or the first vote, here it is. Now, Noura wants to blindside Jack & Jamal, using Dean & Karishma. Of course, Dean sees her as crazy and tells Jamal, who confirms her insanity. So now Dean knows there's a crack in the tribe and the game is going to be turned on its head. Meanwhile at Vokai, it's four to four, though Elaine is the only one who thinks it'll go to rocks. The other three original Lairo though, they are more than willing to flip; Aaron even spoke with Jason about taking out Elaine, which Jason is all for, wanting Vokai to have their numbers, even after Dan dressed him with his buff. At the reward challenge, Elaine had to sit out first off, so she was sent to the Island of the Idols. Secondly, it was a quick race, carrying one member on a crate of bags, then moving bags off, then the member on the crate uses the remaining bags to shoot targets. Aaron won for Vokai in a quick and simple win, winning them chickens.

'Survivor: Island of the Idols' Episode 5
Wow! What an amazing episode of Survivor tonight! First off, nice blindside, Lairo. You made a really good move by taking out Chelsea. Unfortunately, you ended up with Detective Dean who sought out the person who did it, who took Chelsea out. And he eventually figured out it was Missy, who is proud of it. Well, Dean, I don't think you'll get her out anytime soon, even if you want to. She's in the majority, you're not. Plus, you don't have any idols. But it's Survivor, anything can happen. At the reward challenge, first off, tribe swap! We have two new tribes. The new Vokai is a 4-4 split, four Lairo, our Vokai. Elaine, Missy, Aaron & Elizabeth for original Lairo and Tommy, Jason, Lauren & Dan for original Vokai. The new Lairo is 5-3, five Vokai, three Lairo. The three Lairo are Tom, Karishma & Dean while the five Vokai are Noura, Kellee, Jamal, Jack & Janet. They then competed for a reward of Applebee's. They crawled through sand in pairs, with pairs doing the puzzle at the end.

'Survivor: Island of the Islands' Episode 4
Wow! What an amazing episode of Survivor tonight! First off, nice move to Lairo on blindsiding Vince. Unfortunately, Karishma now feels on-the-outs like before, so if you want her on your side, you need to do some work. Also, Dean and Chelsea, showmances often don't work in Survivor. The only time it did was Boston Rob and Amber, and ever since, showmances in Survivor only lead to trouble. You should know that. Sleeping next to people tells a lot about you and them. Beware of causing a showmance. Meanwhile at Vokai, the tribe made a big mistake. They left Jamal alone, and as a result, he got the idol. One big lesson in Survivor: DO NOT LEAVE PEOPLE ALONE, EVER! That is something that is proven to be a mistake, again and again. And, because you all left him alone, now he has the idol. Good job, now Jamal, who has little-to-no trust in any of you, has the idol, giving him the power to save himself and take out anyone he wants.

'Survivor: Island of the Idols' Episode 3
Wow! What an amazing episode of Survivor tonight! First, ok, it seems that "previously" isn't what starts the show anymore, now it's just a preview of what's to come at the beginning of each episode. Ok, that's kind of neat. Anyway, nice blindside, Vokai, Molly never saw it coming. And Jack seems ok about it—Jamal though, better watch out for him. He has officially turned into a rogue agent who will do anything now. He went from trusting ally, nothing bad happens to an "I'll slit your throat if it suits me" kind of player. Well, that is gonna be pretty interesting. Back at Lairo, it's men vs women and Vince doesn't trust Aaron, so he's likely with the women, and it's a pretty good strategy. Side with the winning team. And back at Vokai, Dan wants Noura out, thinking it'll be good for him and everyone else, which is something he wants to do. But he didn't realize the wrath of Jamal. And Jamal doesn't like Dan or his wanting to use Jamal for the vote. So, Jamal suggested getting Dan out to Janet, which she was open to. She spoke to Tommy, and now Jamal is a target of Tommy's for his unpredictability. It's dangerous. Back to Lairo, Karishma, who earlier was a bit uncomfortable since, as an Indian woman, she was swimming around with the women in her underwear, become more distressed when she accidentally cut herself and had to wait for the doctors to wrap up the wound, so she sat around and none of her tribe went to support her. So she became convinced that she was a target.

'Survivor: Island of the Idols' Episode 2
Wow! What an amazing episode of Survivor tonight! First off, thank you to Lairo for voting out Ronnie. That was a great move. Sure, it pissed off Aaron, and Vince wasn't happy about getting votes, but hey, it got Ronnie out and I'm happy about that. Plus, it gives this women's alliance a chance to finally take some control, which I'm excited about. Oh, and there wasn't a Previously On... Survivor type moment, wow, alright, very interesting. As for Aaron, he may be all pissy, but he better at least act like he likes his tribe, otherwise they'll see him as just negativity and take him out anyway. Kind of like how Noura is at Vokai, yelling at the tribe how they don't do any work and hating on Molly, calling her, Jamal, and Jack the King, Queen, and Jack(literally) of the tribe that everyone praises, hoping to get a taste of their greatness. And then Molly spoke with Jamal about getting Noura out, soon after the tribe did yoga together, which most of the tribe didn't really enjoy. Meanwhile, Jason, who knows all out being on the outs, felt he owed Noura, so he spoke with her about how she's also on the outs.

'Survivor: Island of the Idols' Premiere
Wow! I am loving this season of Survivor so far and it just began! This is amazing! I love the cast, I love Boston Rob & Sandra, I love the twists, I love everything about it! This season started out so different, no official "marooning," no sight of Jeff Probst, just Vokai and Lairo both arriving at their beaches and getting started. That is wonderful. From Janet starting the fire to Missy's wonderful story about how she went through the air force, having a brain tumor, and then surviving it, and getting on Survivor. That is just amazing. I also especially love the paranoia as to "What does Island of the Idols mean." That is very fascinating to witness. It put a big target on Jason at Vokai, who right away went to search for the idol. And at Lairo, Elaine, Tom & Vince created their alliance, though, they were gone for so long the other seven kind of figured out what was going on, and decided for them to align with each other. Though, later on, Elaine found this out after showing off her likability and aligning with the other women on her tribe. And also, Ronnie didn't like how likable she was. So, he pretended to align with her, but really was targeting her. Elaine though, she was smart enough to see through it, even if he was using his poker playing skills to convince her. So, there's clearly a rift between Ronnie & Elaine. At Vokai, Noura told Jason about his target since he reminds her of her ex. Also, Dan was being way too touchy for his own good, creeping out all of the women on the tribe, mainly Kellee, who spoke to him about it. So hopefully he's gonna realize that it's pretty creepy to touch and massage girls without consent and he should try and fix his social skills. Jack made some friends and found a squirting clam, so that was extremely entertaining, and Tommy showed off his skills as a fourth grade teacher to bond with people, making alliances with pretty much everyone, including a main six.

'The Sims—The Movie' - Cancelled
Well, as you may know, The Walt Disney Company has acquired 21st century Fox and its assets, including 20th Century Fox, the studio that was meant to be making many upcoming films, including a film adaption of The Sims based on the popular game franchise. Being a fan, I was really excited to go see it, having loved the Sims for a long part of my life. I even wrote a separate thing about it here on Vocal, talking about the film's many possibilities, and how cool it could've been. If you would like to read it just click here. But, it has come to my attention recently that Disney, while making great films, still of course being a company, decided to take many upcoming Fox projects out of production, fearing they may not do well. This included films such as a Sandlot prequel, a Megaman film adaption, a Flash Gordon film held by Thor: Ragnarok (and the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder)'s own, Taika Waititi, and of course, the film adaption of The Sims. Well, all I can say is... that's a bummer.
