Before I say anything about tonight's episode, I must acknowledge that there has been a tragic loss in the Survivor community. Survivor: Borneo castaway, Rudy Boesch, passed away on November 1. Incredibly tragic news, couldn't help but cry when I heard. He was one of the original castaways in Survivor, he always spoke his mind, he was part of the first Survivor alliance, he fought for our country, and still holds the record for oldest Survivor contestant, first playing at 72. He was definitely a real, original person who spoke his mind, went by how he wanted, is one of the most respectable and legendary Survivors of all time. Thank you, Rudy and you'll be missed.

Wow! What an amazing episode of Survivor tonight! First off, nice job to Aaron, Missy, Elizabeth & especially Elaine for taking control and running the show at the new Vokai camp all with one big move. Great job. As for the original Vokai, well, good luck. But, Missy is good with her word a lot of the time, so Lauren should be fine. At Lairo, hardcore Survivor rainstorms always fun to watch, but look hard to live with. Jamal tried to make fire, he failed, couldn't accept Kellee could easily do it, but she did it and he didn't. Then, he told Noura she took too much rice, that's why there's too little left. Let go of that ego, Jamal, you just insulted two of your tribe-mates, now they want you gone. Bad move, dude.

Though, Janet wants Dean gone, since he's not trustworthy. Anyway, Island of the Idols. Janet was chosen; she was scared but she went. She met Boston Rob & Sandra, was told about taking risk and games of chances, with an example of how Chris, last season, gave up his immunity; big risk, to do a fire making challenge against Rick Devens. Ultimately, Chris won the challenge and the season, so risk can be worth it. So there was an offer to Janet: Play a game of chances, win and earn a safety net that lets her leave before the vote, causing her to be safe from tribal council, works till the final seven. Lose and she loses her vote. She thought it through, realized that the risk of the reward isn't worth the target it would put on her back, so she said no. Rob and Sandra seemed so pleased with her thought process and strategy, understanding the lesson. So, no reward or loss for Janet, she left with ideas from Rob & Sandra that she'll go far.

Back at camp, Janet flashed to show off that she didn't have any advantages. Plus, her story stuck with Kellee's, not wanting to spoil Island of the Idols are those who haven't gone or ruin their own games. Meanwhile at Vokai, Dan moved his hand a little too close for comfort at night. The next day, it was definitely mentioned, giving Tommy & Lauren the idea to target him. But, Missy & Elizabeth saw through it, realizing that it's better to take Tommy out, to remove the relationship between Tommy & Lauren and plus, Lauren will have no one to go to but Missy for their women's alliance.

At the immunity challenge, the tribes battled it out, throwing coconuts in baskets to knock down puzzle pieces. Then, taking those giant puzzle pieces where they worked together to build said puzzle. Of course, Vokai lead the challenge. But it got really close at the puzzle. Lairo was almost at the win, especially when Vokai messed a part up. But then Vokai took the win, sending Lairo to Tribal Council.

Before Tribal Council, it seemed clear that Dean was going to go home to everyone, except Dean. It seemed to be an unanimous Dean goes home. Jack & Jamal even convinced Dean that it was gonna be Noura. But Kellee had a connection through a mutual friend with Dean, so she thinks he's useful. And she has an idol that only works for this tribal and she doesn't want it to go to waste. You see where I'm going with this? So, she came up with an ingenious idea that doesn't put the target on her back and gets Jack, a giant social threat, or Jamal, a not necessarily trustworthy guy, out of the game. To talk with Dean right before tribal, tell him the whole truth, give him the idol, while previously telling Noura that Dean had an idol to get her to vote Jack or Jamal, all while Kellee is unnoticed by everyone as a threat. It is a big risk, lots of things could go wrong, but it will be fascinating to witness if this plan works out.

And Tribal Council, wow. Just wow. Survivor just keeps getting more and more fascinating. Started out with Noura calling out Dean, Dean calling out Noura for wanting Jamal out and Jamal for calling Noura out, then claiming a women's alliance. Here it comes. The sexism of women's alliances. The fear of women uniting, as mentioned by Kellee, is more scary to men, than men aligning and an all-male final three, which has happened. Yet so few women's alliances have even happened and when they did, not many even succeeded. So, Jamal was called out for that. And we were all taught a lesson. Women's power is much more than women working together. Part of it is how men also back women to show them support. Women's power is when women are seen equally to men. No need for fear of women uniting. And then, the blindside happened. Dean played his idol and Jamal showed his support for women when he played his idol for Noura… though she didn't need it, and apparently Jack did, as he was blindsided, joining the jury.

Overall, tonight's episode of Survivor was brilliant. It showed a lot of things about society, about our world and showed us how good the game really is. I love Survivor, always have, always will and tonight's episode was just amazing. I can't wait to see next week when the merge happens.

Also, thanks for including a tribute to Rudy, CBS. He is a true American hero and Survivor legend. I'm glad they paid tribute to him. He deserved it.
