Warmth
Yesterday I picked up a book of poems by Jah Wobble (real name John Wardle , but nickname came about cos John Lydon couldn’t pronounce his name) called "Odds & Sods & Epilogues" , and he had written a sonnet in a format that differed to the standard one that I have been using. In fact it is three quatrains and a couplet each line containing only five syllables , which caused me problems as I have been writing my sonnets in a vague iambic pentameter.

On My Desert Island
My friend Krista published her Desert Island Discs selection on Facebook here, (you will need to be logged into Facebook to see it) and has such inspired me to do one. I thought I best read the concept of what it is, though I roughly knew it, but here's a definition:

Bible Black
I first heard the phrase Starless and Bible Black as the title of a King Crimson album , and later discovered it was written by Dylan Thomas as part of his wonderful tone poem “Under Milk Wood”, so as we are in this universe and I have stolen this perfect description of the darkest of nights I will share “Under Dub Wood” which uses a King Tubby rhythm track (as used for John Holt’s “Ali Baba” which you can listen to here) and narration by Sir Richard Burton as the lead in song.

Making Your Presence Felt On Vocal
When I started on Vocal i wasn’t sure what I was letting myself in for. Big prize money , paid reads, oh wow. My own Seven Days In Blog gets 3000-500 visits a day at the moment and since I started over 600,000 , but as a comparison a tweet about Christiano Ronaldo joining Manchester United got retweeted 750,00 just today while my total took fifteen years.

Hurricane Joey
I saw a challenge from Arpad Nagy about writing a story with as many song titles from a single artist that you can fit in and hopefully make sense of . Barclay James Harvest once release a song called "Titles" that consisted virtually entirely of Beatles song titles , so I could have just typed that and submitted that as a piece of poetry. You can listen to it here , I love it actually.

Words With Friends, Our Vocal Connections
I used to play a game called Words With Friends on Facebook , and then on my phone. I ditched it on Facebook for intrusive adverts , then on my phone because it ran down the battery so quickly and the number of women who contacted me and would not accept I was just there to play THAT game.

A Song , A Muse , A Vocal Creation
