Allodoxaphobia
Why do we care what other people think of us? Is it because we want to be liked? Are we embarrassed about our real lives? Did society brainwash us into thinking we have to be desired to be a good person? The list goes on. I believe all these questions can be answered with a yes!

Playdoh Bikini FAIL
Let me tell you the story of when my two besties (Jessica and Chelsea) and I had a sleepover that went embarrassing for Jessica! But, of course, it started like every other sleepover. First, it was convincing my friend Jessica's mom to take us to the store for snacks. We got chips, chocolate, gummies, and of course Slurpee's! Then to our local Blockbuster (note this is 1998) to rent a movie. I wish I could tell you what we rented, but other points of this night are forever stuck in my mind. When we got back to Jessica's house, it was a little too early to start a movie. So, we decided to play truth or dare. No sleepover is legit if you don't play truth or dare. We dared each other to kiss Jessica's younger brother, tell the truth about your current crush, tell a dirty secret, etc. You know moral truth or dare protocols. After a few rounds and some good laughs, we decided to move on. Putting on the latest Back Street Boy cd, we danced around and sang (poorly, I might add). Then our tummy's started to rumble. We left Jessica's room and asked her mom if she could order a pizza for us? I know we could have eaten the junk, but that was for the movies and a snack at 2 am. Jessica's mom said ok and ordered us the pizza. It would be about 30 minutes to arrive. Now what? That's when Chelsea noticed on the kitchen table Jessica's little brother's playdoh set. She suggested we play with the playdoh. So we did.

The Legend of Clarice: The Beginning
I am Clarice, Goddess of the Ocean. Have you heard my legend? I spend my days watching ships on the horizon as I walk the ocean waters. My body is a portal for the deceased on the ocean to cross over to a better place. Some people I have saved before they take their last breath, but few are worthy of such a gift. Unlike most goddesses, I was not born into this role - I was given the choice of life or death on November 28, 1717. I was travelling aboard a slave ship on its way to Chile when Blackbeard and his pirates hijacked the ship. In fear, I curled up in the corner of the boat I was on. I saw men get shot down and their bodies tossed in a pile while women and children walked the plank. One of Blackbeard's men eventually found me in the chaos, and I was forced to walk the plank with the other women. I was praying for salvation as I sank to the bottom of the freezing, dark ocean waters when Poseidon himself came to me.

Listen with your heart
Do you believe in signs, fate, or destiny? I am always looking for signs. Help from the universe with direction. Life is complicated; I'm sure we all can agree on that statement. I was very young when I started to believe in listening and paying attention to your soundings. I can thank Dinsey's Pocahontas for that.

I Am April
I stepped into the dark ally, holding my neck, as blood dripped down my fingers. Tonight I did something stupid. My wound was burning so bad that I wanted to scream but could not choke it out. Scared and weak, I stumbled my way to a brick wall alongside the ally and slid my back down until my butt hit the cold cement ground. Closing my eyes, the city noises around me became louder, and the smells of the ally garbage became stronger as the vampire venom was taking over my bloodstream. I could do nothing to stop the transformation unless a vampire was willing to suck the venom out before the change was complete. But kindness like that is unheard of.

My God, That's Kimberly
Lori Erica Kennedy Ruff died by suicide on Christmas Eve, 2010. For six years after she died, nobody had any idea who she really was. Lori had stolen the identity of a two-year-old who died in 1971. She used the child's birth certificate to change her name, and her true identity remained unknown even to her husband.

Queen Essentials
My 12-year-old autistic daughter, Haylee, loves Queen. "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions" are her favourite songs. She will replay these two songs over and over again, clapping her hands and singing along. My daughter is my inspiration for the "Pride Playlist" Challenge.
