I Can't Believe It's Yogurt!
Good ol’ Austin, Texas. Back in the early 90s, it was quite the place to be. The population was growing, but had a nice small and personal touch to it. People viewed the town as a place where you can raise a family, chase your dreams, and just enjoy life. No one in Austin ever thought they would be faced with one of the most shocking and gruesome murders that could happen in the 90s. What people still ask to this day is “What kind of monster could do this?”

A Letter to My Mom
Sometimes it’s hard to explain to other people how amazing my mom is. I could sit for hours, days, or even months, going over every single example of why she made my life amazing, and still does to this day. I have a very long (33 years) timeline full of laughter, love, and sad moments that really impacted my childhood for the better. It was ALL because of her. To clarify though, I still give props to my dad because he also has made a big impact on my childhood and young adulthood… but we aren’t talking about him right now, we are talking about my amazing mother. Let’s share a few examples of the life lessons that she bestowed in me.

Social Media and the Effects of Our Growing Generation
In the past 20 years, social media has been a growing platform for people to stay connected to one another. Depending on who you talk to, some people have even gained immense popularity, and even stardom, by just simply uploading a video once a day or posting a crazy photo with hashtags attached. Now, some of the biggest social media stars out there have a net worth ranging from 1 - 2 million dollars just by sticking to the basic method of "wowing" your average audience. However, the big question on a lot of our mind's are "Is this helping us or hurting us?"

Distance Learning - Yay or Nay?
We've all had quite a year with everything that's been going on. During the first few months of the closures, our jobs and schools went from in the office, to operating in our homes. As parents, we made do with the change, and ended the 2020 school year the best we could. I'd like to take moment to really break down the ups and downs of what it's like having a child learn from home, and some tips and tricks to get by if you've decided to have your kid continue distance learning next year.

Paradise Found
As I open my eyes, I feel a cool breeze on my skin. The smell of the ocean is so strong, so it must be close. Just a moment ago I was sleeping in my bed, so this has to be a dream, but as I look around, I come to the conclusion that it doesn’t matter if it’s a dream. This place is so beautiful. I feel my body, pressed against the soft sand. I’m not ready to get up yet, so I take a moment to feel my new world.

New Year Who Dis?
Let's start off by stating the obvious..... 2021 felt a little like 2020 in the beginning. We can all agree that nothing changed. We were still "social distancing," working from home, schooling from home, and missing out on concerts and local events. Just because we flipped our calendars to a new year did not mean 2020 never existed and everything would go back to normal. However, it's been a few months, and I'm starting to see a real change. Work places are opening back up, people are eating out, and school grounds are back in session. I think it's time to really buckle down and set my goals.

Oops!
I wish I could say this incident only happened once in my life, but unfortunately there's been many times I've walked into the wrong bathroom in a public place. I think the big question is, which one is worse: A woman walking into a men's bathroom? Or is it a man walking into a woman's bathroom?

The Beginning of Our Journey
We've been married for 11 years and I still remember the first date like it was yesterday. I'll never forget the how anxious I was that day. My palms were sweating and I didn't know what to wear. "I really like him, I just hope the date goes well." I thought to myself. First dates are always so nerve-racking. No matter how long you've known a person. I could be 5 minutes, or 5 years; when two people decide to upgrade their friendship and see what it's like to actually be a couple, it's not the same. My husband and I were already friends, and we had been for about a year.

Music To My Ears
Music has always been a big part of my life. I've connected with many people in the world that hear music, but they don't feel it. The songs don't jump up at them as if they were alive. Music, for me, is like a best friend. The kind of friend that will always be there no matter what. Hard days, happy days, and all the other days in between. Music is life. But let's be more specific here. I want to share the perfect playlist. The playlist that has defined my past, and maintain my future. No matter what I am doing, I turn to certain songs and genres when I'm doing something very specific. This is a story and guide of what keeps me calm. Not just with Meditation, but with everything else. Keeping me Zen 365 days a year.

What You Wear At Work Matters
We all know working at a hotel can be very exciting. What's not to love? I work in a beautiful resort that isn't a casino. Not only that, but it's a timeshare! So that means I get to know so many different types of families, cultures, and organizations. Who wouldn't want to be a part of that? One of the things people who work at a hotel don't tell you, is that no day is the same. Everyday is different because you see different people, have different conversations, and even the problems are jam packed of varieties.
