For the locals in the beautiful Las Vegas, we are always searching for that tasty place to eat on a Friday night. Between the hustle and bustle of the week, you may not want the full restaurant experience, but at least want to leave the eatery feeling full and satisfied. That is why I introduce to you a very unique option, that gives you everything a person can ask for: Fast, Efficient, Savory, and very fulfilling.

Your First Impression

Las Vegas - Southwest corner of Jones and Spring Mountain

When you first arrive, the style of the building looks oddly familiar. When I first saw it, it reminded of maybe a Taco Bell style exterior. It's pretty common in Las Vegas for business to sell, and new owners just redesign the interior but keep the outside looking the same. That's also why some banks look like a Sizzler from the outside. Buildings don't often get fully torn down here, just renamed.

You'll also notice that FukuBurger has very limited parking spots, and you may find yourself having to park a little further away if it's dinner rush. Based on what I've seen, it's FukuBurger's popularity that has caused the parking issue, because their business increased by word of mouth from other locals that can't stop raving about this place. So hopefully they increase their parking spaces soon. On a Friday night, you'll notice that a lot of people are willing to wait outside and enjoy the weather while they wait for their food, which in turn now makes this place one of the hottest places to hang out on the weekend. You'll see a lot of young adults/kids, driving up with their "hot rods" hanging out in the parking lot like we are back in the 50s.

Simple Yet Very Artistic

Let's talk about what's going down on the inside of this place!

When you walk inside the restaurant, the first thing you see is red walls and pictures along every side. The photos that FukuBurger opted in for are personally made with a lot of unique styles - Super heroes, abstract art, and Anime posters. From my perspective, it could appear that FukuBurger asked locals to submit their art for them to display in their restaurant to make them all the more different.

The seating is limited, but that's okay. The total maximum occupancy I'm sure is about 25 people, but this place is also known for people to eat either inside, or on the top of their cars while they are hanging out on a Friday Night.

Order Up!

When you look up at the menu, it's very easy to read and your mouth is already watering from how attractive the burgers appear on the menu. The meal options are very simple, as you can see that each burger style begins with the same Patti, but adds a new twist on it to make it different. Based on the menu, each order item has a theme.

The menu accentuates the purpose behind their eatery by ensuring each burger type includes an Asian Style kick such as Wasabi, Teriyaki, or Shitake Mushrooms. For me, it was hard to decide what I wanted because I love burgers, but was unsure if adding these sauces would make me love it... or hate it. (I'm very picky with my hamburgers)

I chose this beauty, called the KATSU.

Crispy Chicken - KATSU

This was a great choice because I love chicken, and I LOVE chicken katsu. It's hard to describe the exact flavor of Chicken Katsu, but it's basically fried (and breaded) chicken, with a light sauce to add flavor, but not spicy. It's great for picky people that don't know what to order for the first time. So..... This beautiful sandwich has fried chicken, katsu sauce, coleslaw, and FukuBurger's Crack Sauce. Now, don't ask me what's in the crack sauce, because no one knows. HOWEVER, if I could guess, it would be a mix of ketchup, mayo, and teriyaki.

Included with the meal are their Fuku Fries, savory because they add garlic to their seasoning, which makes them even more mouth watering then your standard McDonald's fries. To top it off, they also add an extra cup of ketchup and crack sauce to make sure you don't run out of anything while you eat.

The First Bite Will Have You Hooked

As I bit into the sandwich for the first time, I couldn't believe what I was tasting. The fried chicken was cooked perfectly, and tasted very fresh. Other eateries tend to process their chicken, but this place took just as much time into their chicken sandwich, as they would with any other burger. As I was tasting the sandwich for the first time, I got a burst of all the flavors: First it was the crispiness of the chicken, the crack sauce on top mixed in with the coleslaw, and the katsu sauce that added just enough flavor to compliment the entire ensemble of perfection. When I tried the Fuku Fries, they were perfectly crispy, and seasoned with salt, pepper, and garlic.

While my husband and I savored every bite, we moved onto the Jazz Fries.....

Oh Lord the Jazz Fries.

Jazz Fries - FukuBurger

FukuBurger's Jazz Fries are topped with what's called, brown gravy, as well as their signature Crack Sauce, served with Ketchup on the side. These fries are smothered with their sauces and should be eaten with a fork, but definitely a must-have when you are at FukuBurger. Adding these fries with our dinner was the best choice we made to end this experience.

Let's Wrap This Up

What's really important to take away from this "food review" is that most people should know about this place and make it a priority to go at least once in their lifetime. When visitors travel to Las Vegas, they always go to In-n-Out because everyone knows how delicious they are and want to make sure they can take home some of their "special sauce" when they go back home. But no one ever tells them about this place, because it's not a "tourist" attraction, but it's so good. So so good. It has everything you can want and more out of a "fast food" place. Not to mention, while you wait for your food you get to enjoy the artistry inside and really get the experience of what a locally grown restaurant can do.

I hope this little experience of mine provided a good mental picture of what this place can do for you and I hope to see you there soon!
