Love is Color Blind

Color Doesn't Define Me, or Us

By Megan MillerPublished 3 years ago 1 min read
My Husband and I, Celebrating Us

Once upon a mid-spring day,

When our eyes first met,

I'd come to feel a love like ours,

Forever we did get.

But little did I know at first,

With you would come this weight,

I'd still keep everything just the same,

as fate would block those who hate.

You see, color has defined some worlds,

and made us second guess,

but on the day that we first met,

you could say that we were color-less.

Black or white, it never factored,

as hearts are all the same,

I just wish others agreed

that color has no name.

I spent my time, proving this true

for some may need reminding.

But it's okay because in time,

they'll see our love as Color-blinding.
