One Day You Called Me, "My Little Bean"
My beloved mother, I write to you today because I’m still alive. I apologize for disappearing back when I was in high school. I can’t imagine the pain that you must have suffered during those frightening times. My beautiful soul left me, and I had nothing, but unearthly voices in my mind. I had forgotten who I was, the happy girl you gave birth to as your own. I have erased the existence of where I came from like water spilling on inked words, life was a blur.

Analysis with Civilization and Gilgamesh
The Sumerian Society and Connection with The Epic of Gilgamesh The epic poetry of Gilgamesh has been a key example to connect the relationship with the Sumerian society. The Sumerian civilization shows a cultural mirroring effect with the epic itself, allowing today’s society to take a closer look at the characteristics and values the Sumerians included in their society. Throughout time, there were multiple evidence and discoveries found such as artifacts, that help us better understand the Sumerian civilization. Some main aspects of Sumerian society are the religious views, environment, and the development of duties, which have also been represented in The Epic of Gilgamesh.

Cultural Relativism and Moral Action
Love is a broad concept and topic that involves our daily lives. When I was younger, I would often times see it in the Disney movies and classic fairy tales. Then I read ‘Romeo and Juliet’ by William Shakespeare and learned that the concept of love can be complicated. Currently, I have been dating my boyfriend for three years now and we both get a long quite well even though we share cultural differences. My boyfriend is half Egyptian, and I am half Japanese. The dilemma involved our families’ cultural background values. My mother is Japanese, and academics is very important in our culture, which meant that dating was frowned upon until further academic achievements were made. In Seal’s article about Asian-American parenting and academic success, she states that more Asian-American children often time spend “less time” in “dating” (pp.10). My parents were strictly against dating, especially during an important academic time in my life.

A Possible Solution on: How to be Healthy & Lose Weight
It's one thing to be able to lose weight but be not eating anything or selecting specific diet choices doesn't necessarily mean that it's a "healthy" choice. For example, skipping meals or avoiding all fats can increase risk for complications with the gallbladder. As the gallbladder is known to store bile which emulsifies fat or breaks it down. Bile is like a salt, so it's produced by the liver and released from the gallbladder when we consume fats. However, when we decide to purposefully skip meals and avoid all fats, the liver and gallbladder will feel that they don't need to produce bile anymore. So, what happens to the stored bile in the gallbladder? Well, it can become gallstones since bile is like a salt causing other complications. On the other hand, when we eat too many fats the liver will "feel" overwhelmed to produce more bile than necessary which can also lead to more gallbladder complications. Unfortunately, that's just one example and there are many more examples; it's just goes to show that it's important to eat, but to also eat with more good foods than bad. As well as figuring out what the best-balanced nutritional intake is best suited for you.

Memory Strategies and Enhancement
Memory strategies are “mental events intended to improve encrypting and recovery” (Gazzaniga, Ivry, & Mangun, 2018). Memory strategies help people remind and recall about the things that happened in the past. Also considering any information that deals with the prior experiences from everyday external aids to internal memory strategies that facilitate storage and retrieval from long-term memory. We create memories every day and not all of them are stored, thus, learning different memory strategies can help those who may be struggling with keeping their memory or trying to retain information. Cognitive mapping is the cognitive process “a process by which the individual subject situates himself within a vaster, unrepresentable totality, a process that corresponds to the workings of ideology” (Jameson, F. n.d.). In addition, cognitive mapping is helpful because it allows us to solve complex difficulties of origination and policymaking.

The Game of Social chance
Social stratification has multiple factors in order for it to work properly. It starts with the social differentiation, “human diversity of the society”, to social inequality, to social order, and then the stratification which is created through the social forces such as “socio-historical and political actions” (Larkin, 2015). In this writing, I will be discussing three types of stratifications systems, how individuals are sorted into the system and the system’s social mobility.

Trapped
It has become an endless cycle of ups and downs everyday. Today I have decided to write about my schedule of having depression in my life. Some may be able to relate, other's may not; either way every person is unique and individualized towards their mental health. I started therapy when I was in middle school and continue to go to therapy today as a college student. The time between middle school and college, I had went to already three treatment centers, one emergency room visit, and over 5 different therapists. Was it a struggle? Yes. Was it worth going through each treatment? Yes. Do I still have negative thoughts and feelings? Yes. Do I want to give up? No.

My Goldendoodle, Latte
I have a female Goldendoodle, and her name is Latte. It’s incredible the connection you can make with a pet, especially a dog from my experience. I am currently a nursing student and will be graduating soon. My brother who is one year younger than me is in an architecture program. Before me and my brother were able to go to college, it was adopting a Goldendoodle puppy who has severe anxiety, had GI problems, and went to get surgery a year after her adoption that made us get through our challenges. I always wanted a dog when I was a little girl, but my parents would never agree to the idea of having one. Me and my brother were both in high school when I decided to adopt our dog. I felt like I had to so she can save us.

The Existence of Humanity and Personalities
In the article, “The Necessary and Sufficient Conditions of Therapeutic Personality Change” by Rogers, talks about the conditions that are key factors when a therapist talks to client in order to have a healthy personality change. The article begins by including the six factors between the relationships of the therapist and the client. First of the six conditions is that, “two of the people are in psychological contact” (Rogers, 1992) which means that the therapist and the clients are involved and speaking in a mental and emotional state by meeting, communicating and are in a professional relationship.
