Self Discipline and me
This week I found myself revisiting an old friend: self-doubt - thankfully with a new awareness. It seems I had been carrying old luggage around that bore the labels of ‘I am not disciplined’, ‘I need to be more disciplined’, ‘I need more discipline’. I’m feeling a giggle arise within as I write it out, how utterly bizarre and hilarious that I could have possibly believed those things about myself for such a long time! Not only are these things untrue, they are also dangerous beliefs to hold. Telling myself that I need more discipline only serves to call that need to me and give it energy and after so much discipline dressed as abuse in my life, I certainly do not want any more of it.

The Art of Life
I just sit there. Thinking, planning, imagining doing things. Things like dancing, exercising, painting. Big things too, like travelling, acting, being famous. I feel inspired, to do things, be someone, to share my story, to be me. And as I sit here, I plan. I plan things that I will do, things that I will learn, things that I should improve and how to improve them, and for once, I am one, I am one with my passion.

The Power of Inspiration
The art of inspiration isn’t always easy to come by. Inspiration can come from unknown places. From nature to watching something, in reality, can light the smallest spark. Sitting while staring at the monitor in hopes of inspiration strikes just to trigger thoughts & past experiences is like trying to remember what you ate last month at the restaurant you last visited.

No Shame in my Game
Dear World (Or whoever is out there reading or listening), Let me say this loud and clear so you can all hear it, even from the back row. LOVE YOURSELF!!! I know at times this can be hard. For years I struggled with my self image and being positive about my body. The amount of nights out that were ruined because I felt I looked overweight in an outfit or not curvy enough, I cant even count on both hands or toes for that matter. My whole life I have gone from being a size 8 to a size 18, which is what I am now. And for the longest time I worried about what I looked like and what other people would think of me, I was never happy with anything. But as I have got older I have realised that this is the most destructive thing you can do to your soul and your heart. Talking badly about yourself is just as bad as talking badly about other people and placing your self worth on what others think is a complete and utter waste of time, you basically just go round in circles. This body you have been given may not seem perfect to you, but your eyes are what can make you see your legs are what keep you walking but most importantly your heart and your kindness are what people will remember you for. The way you made them feel and the way you carried yourself. A little exercise I like to do every day is to look in the mirror and force myself to name three things I like about my body. Some days that is more of a struggle than others I wont lie, but once I have done this more often than not I feel confident and ready to take on the day ahead.

How to be Consistent
We have all had the sense that if we could build some consistency, if we could implement a new behaviour much more consistently, we would be more more successful. We could generate more success and abundance for ourselves and our families. But we have all experienced trying to do something new on a consistent basis and not being able to make it stick. We have all felt like we let ourselves down. So how do you do it?

Finding the Strength to Stand up
Standing up for what you believe in can be hard when everyone is telling you that doing so will hurt you in the long run, however, letting your opinion be known will always help not only you but those around you know that they can say what needs to be said. It can be difficult to know when the right time is to speak your mind, most people will pick a time of turmoil and talk about that, and when things are somewhat good not say anything at all. If this is how you feel then you say so no matter when the time is, life is too short to live a box only coming out when it suits you or you can be heard the loudest. Quietly sitting back while others struggle to get their point across when you could join them and make a loud statement that people will hear for miles around is only going kill a piece of your soul. Speak on the issues that matter to you and don’t let others try to stop you from getting your message out to the ones who need hear it; at the end of the day what will be left when you are dead and gone are the messages that you left and the impact that they had on the people that heard them.

Top 7 Most Common Qualities Found In Successful People
Success is progress that needs many different things to align in order to happen. A small proportion of successful people got there quickly or inherited something from their family. Most successful people build their personalities just so they can be capable of pursuing their dream.

Bullet Journal-June Layout
My bullet journal for June is in the theme of Bubble Tea. I was inspired by a creative Youtuber who posts her bullet journaling and I did use some of her theming on my own, and I also made some pages simply inspired by the theme. I am not new to bullet journaling but I never quite picked it up seriously either. I tested the waters for a bit and had decided it wasn’t for me, it felt silly. Then COVID happened and I lost all three of my jobs and went on unemployment. Fours months of being at home everyday all the time can really make a person question their sanity. So I started picking up old hobbies I had lost time for and picked journaling backup as well. I needed something to fill my time as well as a need for a creative outlet since my career is all about creativity. The first month I did was back in May and I will not be sharing any pictures from that because WOW. It sucked hardcore.

The road to Success
Oxford languages defines success as the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. More often than not, when people think about success. They think of fame or money. That view on success isn't always everyone's first thought. What is your idea of success? I am going to be transparent with you. Everyone starts from somewhere and along the way you WILL face challenges. Don't let those adversities stop you though. How Gavin? Why shouldn't I just give up? I'm going to fail, why even try? The answer is experience. You learn from the inevitable mistakes and gain experience. That experience is a key factor in accomplishing your goals. Plus, reaching your goals wouldn't be as satisfying if you didn't have failures. I feel as if another reason as to why you need to fail to succeed is that there would be no room for improvement. At least to a certain extent. Without failure, you would have no knowledge on how to improve. Therefor, resulting in a constant peak. Yes, you are going to fail, but trying anyways is a better choice. Not pursuing whatever you want to will leave a feeling of shame and guilt. Failure is a good thing, not a bad thing. Gavin, what does it take to reach success? To be successful. You need to be able to have resiliency, persistence, and the ability to do hard things. Let's face it. The most successful people have faced adversities. Elon Musk's First PayPal product was voted one of the worst business ideas in 1999. Oprah used to be regularly beaten throughout her childhood. J. K Rolling's original Harry Potter was rejected 12 times. Those failures faced by these extraordinary people have shaped them. Persistence is key. Think about where J. K rolling would be if she wasn't persistent with her work. Another step to take when traveling the road to success is habits. Habits, are so prominent. Once those habits are formed they become automatic. You won't need to put in the effort to do these habits anymore. They will naturally flow with your day. Some of my favorite habits include. Waking up early, reading every day, making exercise a priority, avoiding time wasters and getting enough sleep. Why are these concepts important to be successful? Emails. Everyone wastes time checking their emails in the morning. Getting up early gives you more than enough time to have to yourself to check those emails. Starting the day early also improves your concentration which means you can carry out those goals and tasks that you set out the night before. It also means that by the time you get to work, you are fully awake and properly acclimatized to the day meaning you will be more alert during those peak hours. Why is reading everyday important? Well, reading stimulates the brain. This action strengthens and speeds up neural pathways allowing you to be more creative, think more clearly and critically, ask better questions and make faster mental connections. In turn, this keeps your brain healthy. Everyone knows why exercising is important. Exercise builds endurance and strength, increases energy and reduces stress. Avoiding time wasters is one of the hardest things to stop doing. Almost everyone has a smartphone nowadays. I know how hard it can be to not waste time on social media or watching TV. I suggest limiting the access to that distraction and having a plan for how much time you want to spend. Getting enough sleep. Sleep is important for many reasons. Did you know if you don't sleep for 8 hours your immune system is weakened. Your heart suffers. Your cancer risk increases and you gain weight. Those are only some negatives of getting less sleep than you should. I would conform a routine and stick with that. It will take a while to used to. Yet again, building and forming habits is a step on the road to success. My ideal version of success is doing something that makes you happy. Do something that makes you happy. People tend to gravitate towards crafts they're good at. Pursue a talent of yours or do something that you want to be good at. Keep in mind that you need to find something you're good at and passionate about. Remember, you will face failure. As I mentioned before, persistence is a characteristic of a successful person. You need to practice persistence! This next step is hard for everyone. As humans, ASK FOR HELP. The most successful people have one thing in common. They recognize where their strength lies and where it doesn't. Don't be afraid to ask for help and that leads to the next step. Have a mentor. Having a mentor will help guide you through your journey. This will be the person that you can ask for help. Plus, you can have someone to celebrate your wins with. The next and final step to the journey of success is having motivators. Make sure these motivators are genuine. You need motivators you're passionate about in order to succeed. Thank you for reading! Feeling Different is Your Superpower
I’ve felt different for as long as I could remember. From a young age, I can remember having a lot of thoughts, ideas, very big feelings and an even bigger voice. I was passionate, persistent and fearless when it came to my self-expression.
