Committing to My Own Path
It was many years ago that I was standing in the front of my classroom as a first grade teacher. I was in the middle of teaching a lesson when I heard a distinct voice in my head say, "Denise, you are here to teach people to be their truest self."

As We Are
Inquisitive, I am, amazingly, both a scientist and an artist. Being two things in one, however, is not very easy for me to live up to. Unfortunately, I find myself splitting my time and efforts up into the works of two different kinds of people. When I’m a scientist, I have to defend myself the whole time like I’m getting a Ph.D. When I’m an artist, I have to find symbolism in my own imagination. Such a conflict is quite a mental challenge to me as if bigots are always claiming my name to fame trying to prove that they are the ones really writing and creating, not really me at all ever.

3 men that inspire me
Everyone has at least one person that inspires them to a certain extent. I have chosen 3 people that truly inspire me. The first person is my father. He is a compassionate, hard-working, intelligent and driven man. He is an entrepreneur, owning a successful business doing IT work for the common people and car dealerships. There are truly a plethora of reasons as to why he is inspiring. I think, one of the most inspiring things is how he can leave his work at work. He comes home even when he hasn't had an ideal day and loves his wife and kids.Treats them with respect, and spends time with them. Another attribute that is inspirational, is his faith. He has gone through dark times and come out a better man due to his faith. He has a strong relationship with God. I aspire to have such a deep connection with God one day. As I mentioned before, his business. His reasoning behind the business, is he is called to help people. My father, has found two concepts that he is passionate about. IT. Which is always changing. And helping people. He then found a way to implement those two into a business. The second person I find to be inspiring is Jon Acuff. Jon Acuff is New York Times Bestselling author of six books and runs StuffChristiansLike.net, which has over 3 million readers. I find him inspiring for numerous reasons. He has the ability to input humor into serious topics. In this interview with Jon, he mentions that he uses humor and pairs it with unfunny topics. Jon Acuff: "It’s research-based, but it’s really really funny. I mean, there’s a reason comedians like Jim Gaffigan endorse my books. It’s because they’re humorous. My niche is to write with humor on a fairly unfunny topic." Humor is a value of mine. His words inspire me. Putting humor with topics that I can learn from. Put's his words in a whole different perspective. His book, Start, was one of the most influencing books I've read. At the time, I was going through a dark time. I was feeling hopeless. That book is what guided me how to start a new chapter. Fear is what held me back. I learned that from his book. His connections with Dave Ramsey are inspiring too. Jon was a small blogger at one point. Just like me. His career took off, and he started working with Dave Ramsey. It's remarkable to think that a blogger, who didn't have a fan base at one point. Used to work with Dave Ramsey. A world renowned speaker and author. I grew up listening to Dave Ramsey. It's incredible how connections . The third person I find to be inspiring is Tony Dungy. He is the author of a book called uncommon. Along with my dad, that book has shaped my beliefs. Tony has a powerful faith with God too. In uncommon, Tony mentions his ideal ways of living and how to live them. In correlation to his faith, of course. Tony shares the same beliefs with parenting, loving your children, having integrity, etc. Which, has been instilled into me by my parents. His accomplishments as an ex-pro football star and coach are also admirable. All these people hold a common ground. They share the same beliefs and hold them to a high standard. My dad doesn't come home and love his family when he wants to. Jon doesn't just have faith in God when he wants to. He holds his standards with integrity, which creates a value. These three men are uncommon, as Tony would say. They love their families and haven't been absent fathers. They are doing what they love and making sure they do it well. They help people that need help, sometimes without realizing it. These men are my inspirations. That is why.

Growing Me
Life is tough. It is full of ups and downs, the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. I am 35 years old. I feel like the last two years have had the biggest impact on my life. I have spent this period in my life really trying to find myself, my true self. With that said, I am a people pleaser to a fault, always putting other's feelings and needs above my own because I thought I was doing what made me happy. I began realizing that I was trapped in this person that I no longer wanted to be. People began to take advantage of me and I was letting them because I thought I was making them happy, when in reality, they had no appreciation of my catering to their every need.

Bring Back the Peace Sign
I'm shocked by this world and the lack of love that people have for one another. I have always been taught to want Peace on Earth! There are numerous pennies in wells with my wishes for Peace on this Earth. I am not a young girl anymore and after so many years watching this world some has changed so much technology and yet so many of the same issues over and over. Still surprised every time I hear a story like for real how are people still thinking this way? I was taught early on to accept people, E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E. I've read books on psychology one that meant a lot to me was "Blink" by Malcolm Gladwell where he clearly and scientifically proves so many subconscious beliefs that must be changed for people to start changing. If we don't ever confront the issues that are holding us back from peace this world will never change.

The Golden Age of 50
It was December 2019, I was still unemployed, I was tired of receiving rejection letters or emails from employers, I crashed my car into a parking light pole and I was trying to keep my head above the water financially - my life was not exactly where I wanted it to be. I wanted 2019 to be over, I was tired of the negative things that were happening to me. I was looking for forward to the year of 2020 because I knew that was the year I was going to be turning 50. I spent New Year's Eve with a few friends, while everyone in the bar was celebrating the New Year, kissing their loved ones, or toasting champagne. I sat there and I contemplated on how I was looking forward to the next six months because that was when I would be turning 50.

Legendary Poetry
The Journey: A story about life Sometimes the journey starts with anguish. Sometimes with trepidation. Both were true as for me this time as I stood before the perilous trail before me. A sense of fear enveloped me as I considered the monumental task before me. Looking at the spectacular mountain ahead of me, I took in a deep breath and wondered if I had the courage to proceed. I had completed missions similar to this I reasoned. I will conquer this one, as well. Yet I had never faced a challenge so great as the one before me now.

Peace and Love
Peace, mercy and love are possibilities in a world that is becoming full of famine disease and unrest. When you wake up everyday and look at the beautiful sky and the abundance of greenery and flowers and have gratitude in your heart that you are still living. Each day is a new chance to be happy and in peace with the world. Take care of your loved ones and be kind and caring towards them. Live in the moment, and you will be happy and peaceful. Give every human their right, don't hurt others and you will be happy, content and peaceful. Another way to be happy and peaceful is to be merciful to the creatures in the world. When you help somebody you will find inner peace and happiness in your heart. Every day ask yourself what is love and how do I nourish and water the love in my life. Think of love as flower that needs constant watering in order to be present in your life. And when the love dies as all beautiful flowers die eventually think deeply how do I replant and rekindle this love that has died in my life. The way to re kindle the love is to plant seeds of peace care and mercy around yourself and around the people around you. Give gifts to your family members, eat together as a family, watch tv together, do fun outings together, laugh together. A family that eats together stays together. A time tested way to be happy and peaceful is by bringing peace and happiness not only to yourself and your family members but also to the poor and needy people in the world. Feed the poor, shelter the homeless, and speak kindly to all those you meet. Another way to be peaceful and happy is to have a clean heart and clean environment. Cleanse your heart from hate, anger and all forms of malice and this will plant seeds of peace and love in your life. Also keep a house and living environment that is physically clean from impurities and dirt. When you have a clean environment you will feel a sense of inner peace that will radiate a light for you to be peaceful. Being peaceful and content does not usually mean having lots of money and belongings, it could just mean being peaceful from within and content with what you already have. People think that if I accumulate wealth and children I will happy and peaceful. That is not always the case being happy means having gratitude with the things or people in your life even if it is little. Being happy and content with the wealth you have and the children you have and not always wanting more. Adorned for the people is the love of desires, such as women, and children, and piles upon piles of gold and silver, and branded horses, and livestock, and fields. These are the conveniences of the worldly life. No I am not denying the fact that the mentioned above things make mankind happy but its a temporary happiness, but if you show gratitude for these things they can and will contribute to a peaceful feeling of happiness.
