The Competition
there are so many key words, sentences. some not connected jumping from one to the other in an unrested momentum. one trying to be bolder than the other, to be noticed. in between of consciousness and the dream world, the competition between them gets fiercer. so loud and clear. some shying away or being shut down. muffled and fading away in one corner.

It all had to "Start Somewhere"
At this point we already know what we're about, unless we still haven't reach our majority. In some places our elders get to choose who we're going to spend the rest of our lives with, while in other our younger ones get to say who goes where. There were many times when I knew what to no do but never really knew what to expect.

Make Time to Listen
We are living in “insta” times. We consume daily news by sound-bite and headline and react by instinct without really taking time to think wholeistically about an issue before responding or forming an opinion. We like, love and express sympathy with what’s happening in our “friends” lives with the click of an icon; rarely having to make actual effort to really connect with them on an intimate level. After all, who has time for that. We’re busy documenting and sharing our own lives and opinions to share back, or following a favorite insta-celebrity living while admiring their insta-lifestyle and trying to get insta-fit by prepping insta-meals in our insta-pots.

Now Is The Time!!
The world is boiling, a boil which has hit a point of no return. For the African American, there is no return to normal, for this our society in general, there is no return to normal. What COVID-19 hasn’t ripped up, systematic racism has. It has placed us at a fork in the road, one which is exhausting, frustrating, and outright painful; while at the same time exciting, full of life, and opportunity for both change, and advancement.

The Search for Happiness
The Search for Happiness By Dejaye Botkin, LPC During my initial assessment with a client, I always ask, “What are your three goals for therapy?” The most common answer I hear is, “I want to be happy.” My young clients in particular often state that happiness is their single most important therapy goal and frequently express desperation for this goal to be achieved. I often hear clients express their desire to achieve happiness in this sequence: “I am either happy or sad. I know I am not happy, so I must be sad. Since I feel sad almost every day, I must be depressed, which makes me want to end the pain.”

Words I Write By Amy Ruth Emam
Greetings Soul Brothers & Sisters. Today's topic is going to be about the power of our thoughts. With all that is going on around us in this world today, it can be hard to stay in the positive mind zone that we need to have the positive energy flow within and around us. Over the years I have read many books where author's say 'Your thoughts are Powerful.' I agree 100%. My good friend, Kathryn Pape, has written several books on this topic. Her teachings just clicked with me. She shares about how it is important to use words to boost your inner positive energy which in turn helps to heal your body. I have learned so much from her. She always teaches and offers Angelic Sound Balancing which is energy and sound healing by the use of tuning forks. All so fascinating to learn and then add into your daily life. You can really feel a huge difference in your life. I am sure Kathryn will not mind the name drop. She has a book out that I helped edit and create images for. I just love this book so much. It really is like creating magic once you apply it to your life. So many self help books teach about how negative vs. positive thinking. Not so many lay it out there for you terms to be used in your daily life. Stay away from terms like I hate and acknowledge that YOU dis - LIKE what you use to hate BECAUSE of what ever emotion or emotions it is causing you at that moment. How can you make it a positive so you will feel better enjoyment in your life moments? [Yes, Kathryn Pape is just simply amazing. I have loved getting to know her and learn her teachings inside and out. I know you will as well. ]
