Happy Feet
I would love to start this ramble off with a little science lesson. Endorphins, also referred to as natural pain relievers, are neurochemicals produced in your central nervous system and pituitary gland that when released can take you as Drake would say “0 to 100 real quick”. How do we get these bad boys released you may wonder?

Lessons of Winter
"In the depth of winter, I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer" Albert Camus. Part of my childhood was spent in a small midwestern town outside of Chicago. I felt like an outsider there. In this beautiful crisp winter scene, you’d think only spectacular things happened in that place. I mean looking at this picture, I can almost hear the song... “Over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house we go”, erupting in the distance.

Gyspy Soul
If a picture is worth a thousand words... what could be said of this one? This photo was taken at a low point in my life. I had just been fired from my job and was put on anti-depressants. These were the days when laying in bed seemed to be the best option and stepping outside of my bedroom door seemed to be more of a triumph than anything else. There is something funny about anti-depressants, something that the doctors don't tell you. It's the fog; like the fog that rolls in after a morning shower. I could now wake up, eat normally, talk with people, laugh with people (which I had not done in many months,) and live my life normally. Normally. Normally. Normal with a fog. Normal but not normal. Normal to everyone else, but not to me. I felt like I had a cotton ball wedged in between my ears and thoughts and ideas were just circling around it. Nothing could penetrate through. No emotions were strong enough to make me feel... well... anything.

A Garden Plot
FROM SPA TO FARM So I'm thumbing through the pages of a spa magazine between massages. It's a typical Sunday in Aspen, Colorado at O2 Aspen. Lately, I had come upon a new artist named Edgar Allen Isokov. I don't really know how I came upon his music, but lately it has inspired me. I found him late one evening a couple months back as I'm hunkered in my room and the darkness outside is making me feel the Colorado winter blues that can occasionally present themselves between skiing on occasion. His song "San Louis" comes up on my Youtube feed. I click the link and immediately the anxiety is lifted. He instantly became a big inspiration after that and a cover that my band had to learn. Rewind back to the spa and as I'm flipping through the pages I come upon his picture in the spa magazine! The article will soon reveal to me that the artist is in between touring is and has been an organic farmer for many years and now practices his green thumb for about four months of the year between tours. The article goes onto interview him and I take away that his music has been very much influenced by the soil and the growth of all things plant like. Later that year I would discover the band "Khrungbing" and find how their music is influenced by cows, but that's another story for another time, although life progression would have it that my grandma is currently moving out to Texas with a lot of my Dad's side of the family to live on a farm there. It's then that the wheels in my mind start turning as I've learned that coincidences are equivocally always miracles.

Punching My Way Through Life
Everyday I see people say they fight to get up in the morning. How do they fight? Mentally, Emotionally? I agree. I do the same. But I realized that there are things in life you actually need to fight sometimes. Your struggles, your depression, your anxiety. Everyday people will face bullies in their school or workplace. People put you down because they are not happy with themselves. You stand your ground and look them in the eye. You often imagine the bell ringing in your head and you hear, "Round 1".

Thinking
At the start it doesn’t really matter what you’re doing. You could be doing homework, reading, talking with friends, you could even be in the middle of a party. You can be so content and happy, laughing and smiling, you don’t suspect that anything can go wrong. Then you start to think and that’s how it really starts. You just start thinking, nothing specific, at first, just thinking. Now that you started thinking, you just can’t stop.

The World Is Your Playground
We are currently living in some difficult times with covid-19 entering all our lives and interruping our normal daily routine, and over the past few months we have had to create new routines to adapt to our circumstances. Majority gyms have been closed leaving us to find other alternatives to stay active and fit. If your life is anything like mine, that may be a difficult task with trying to balance a full time job working over 60 hours a week, being a parent as well, and also being in a relationship. People would ask where do you find the time to do anything else with the little time you have in between that. It’s simple you make the time for it. There is an old saying that goes “people make time for the things that they really want to do”. That old saying is true. If you are really passionate about doing something you will find the time in your busy schedule for it and that includes being active!

Open Letter to my fans, and NWA fans.
"You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending." - C.S. Lewis. Momentum is everything in this business; many a top talent has been deprived of showing the world just who they can be simply from the inability to create or maintain it.

Overcoming The Darkness
For a long time, I was weak. If life got me down, I'd stay down. I tried to pull myself up using the ropes, but it continued to beat me. I would wonder why I wasn't good enough, why I wasn't smart enough, or strong enough. The days kept coming and I would just continue to feel sorry for myself. Feeling as if I will never take over my life, the way other people have.
