Learning to Love Myself
I grew up hating myself. Learning how to love myself is hard. I'm able to list down every single thing I hate about myself and wanting to change it. Hoping that I'm a different person. It sounds sad and heart-breaking, but there's a lot of people out there who are the same. That they hate themselves. That they want to be able to change everything that they think is wrong about themselves.

COVID 19 is not just a Physical Disease
Nowadays people have so many ways to connect: Facetime, email, text, social media, etc. Reaching someone is easier in this day in age. However, more and more of us feel disconnected. A recent Ipsos survey found of more than 20,000 American adults, more than half reported that they are always lonely or sometimes lonely. Think about how those numbers would increase if more individuals were surveyed. Unfortunately, this situation could also worsen with the current social distancing restrictions. 1 in 4 individuals say they rarely or never feel like they have close friends or family members.

My Dream to Be An Entertainer
I’ve always dreamt of becoming a big star. When I was 3, I was always told I was so talented and recognized for it. I can sing,I can dance,I can act. All 3 in 1. And,I don’t know. It’s something about being in the spotlight onstage just makes me feel like I’m at home. Bright lights, big crowds, cheering, yelling and screaming. It just makes me so excited! Singing my favorite songs both written and not written by me. When I think about it, I just feel like it’s where I’m meant to be. To be a big singer seeing her name all over the world at every concert and all the marquees she comes across. I know, sounds typical, right? But,what I would make different about beinf famous is that, yeah I’d be making a lot,but that’s not what I’m in it for. It’s about enjoying my passion and wanting to get up every morning to it. No dreading, just up and ready to go to work everyday, even if it takes hours and hours of accomplishment. It looks like a lot of hard work,I’m not gonna lie. I just look at some of the celebrities and sometimes I wonder how they do it and how they manage, especially with all the paparazzi involved everyday. Makes me exhausted for them just looking at them. 😂 I comend them for it all, though. I mean,if they didn’t go through all of that, they wouldn’t be some of the best in all the entertainment universe. But,at the same time,it all looks so exciting. Wearing your own outfits, rocking the latest Gucci and Dolce & Gabanna or maybe Louis Vuitton and doing favorite performances everyone loves, including biggest fans. And everybody loving you in every moment of it. Even if they don’t love you in real life. But,me,as I got older,I don’t think I can handle all of the crazy paparazzi, and beef with a singer I don’t even know and all the exhaustion and stress from trying to get everything to perfection before the day of my performances. Which is why i decided to do a YouTube channel instead. It’s more beneficial for me anyways I can make a video whenever I want to without the extra stuff. I like to treat it as my own little business I own. I can go to work whenever I want to, I control the time I spend it and I can make sure it’s perfect,I can make how many I need to to find the perfect one. One that I know will be the big seller. In views and likes, that is. The biggest and the best thing of them all, I CAN DO IT AT HOME!!!☺️☺️ I have aaaaaaaall the freedom I want too. Sounds awesome, don’t it? No hassle,no worry about being late. Just making songs, recording and re-recording all on your own terms. Never would’ve thought I’d be perform entertainment in my own home (no thanks to the COVID). And I gotta say. I REAAAAAAALLY enjoy it. Never thought I would ever say that ever. In fact,I never thought of doing my own thing in the media. I thought about having my own channels and all in the past, but I was always discouraged by some of my family. But now,I’m seeing the results and the progress I’m doing....and this is definitely something I can say I look forward to waking up to every morning (sometimes I check it immediately after I get up). And the only thing that stood between making my own videos on YouTube and enjoying watching and making the progress and process was discouragement, worry and fear. Never let that come between you and your dreams. If you want something, you go get it. It’ll take some sacrifice and a lot of hard work to get there, but always tell yourself you can do it. That you can have and live that dream. And as long as you see the progress getting better and better even after all the times you fall down, and you’re happy with how it’s going, then keep on. Keep up the good work and keep working hard. You’ll get there. Before I leave, there’s something else. To those reading this right now and to those who still use YouTube, feel free to check out my channel as well. It’s called Shania Thompson. Thank you guys so so much. ☺️

Save Me, President Jesus, I'm Bored In The USA
Through no fault of our own, every American (indeed, everyone world-wide) is in detention. For the first couple months, it was great. We could sleep in, eat whenever we wanted, laze in a hot bubble bath, and watch TV until we went into a coma. Good times.

There's a Difference Between Being a Writer and Being an Artist
I’ve written all my life. I guess everybody has. You learn to write in school and then you don’t really stop; filling out forms, taking notes, scribbling down phone numbers on the back of envelopes and writing shopping lists in dog-eared notepads.

Why I, A Broke College Kid, am Attempting Blogging in 2020. And Why You Should too.
Dear My Nonexistant, Unamused Audience, *Insert Lord Farquaad voice here* Hello, Millenials, Boomers, and fellow Gen-Zers. It 'tis I, another cynical 19-something who, in a phrase, is just "trying her best".

Divergent Thinking And Finding Your Voice
Cop Rock was one of the biggest TV-failures ever made. Marked with a bold and irreverent spirit it was one of the rare cases that combined a musical within a TV-show, all capped under the dark ambiance of a cop drama. Little words need to go to the fact that nothing similar had ever been attempted before. And being the first one to do so, exposed it to the world, in the most negative way one can fathom. It was heavily ridiculed and mocked like no other and within a few mere episodes, it got canceled sealing its fate forever. Now it is a classic showcase of how an over-ambitious project can flip over to disaster and become one of the biggest failures in TV history.

True Light
Don't try to run away from the beautiful light that emanates from the most beautiful corner of your heart. You were born to live between lights. Painful shadows will never completely steal your light. You are a beautiful being, born to heal the wounds that rancor has left them. Fly with your beautiful wings. There is no darkness that is able to stop the light that comes from you. Take your time and disconnect for a while from all the noise around you. You deserve to be at peace with yourself, beautiful child of the sunlight. Do you really know it?

Me, finding joy takes no 'time' at all.
While going through the images of Artist "Amber Vittoria," I was having an issue finding the perfect image to explain the little joys I find in life. I am happy to say I found the right image. It is a watch, but not just any watch. Amber Vittoria wrote on her Instagram page Quote: "Time To Grow," a collaboration with @skagendenmark for their new Signatur Sketchable watch is a reminder to seek comfort in the pace at which the universe wants us to evolve, however fast or slow that may be. #mySKAGEN #ad, Unquote.

True Greatness
You don't need a revolution to feel your body come to life suddenly. You don't need to own a huge mansion to feel the brightest light from heaven shine on you. You just need to be in communion with yourself. The peace with which you dream so much comes from the purest part of your heart. You don't need a revolution to find the magic of the universe that is contained in something as simple as a drop of water. The universe is something so simple and at the same time so complex that it allows you to enjoy its greatness in all the little things that surround you.

Striving
Having a pair of eyes and a mind of my own. Having a functioning & healthy body, 2 arms and 2 working legs that allow me to do oh so much. 🧚♂️💃 Being more than capable of creating the beautiful world I want for myself each day. Living, is what keeps me moving. Everyday that I wake up is a blessing, as cliché as that sounds it's true. I tell my google mini to play Positive healing music on spotify, as it sets a beautiful tone for my morning, I then make my bed, wash my face, and write in my manifestations/visualizations/dream book. I write 3 things I am grateful for, it helps me remain humble and it reminds me of the gratituiy I have for even the littlest things. I then write down where I envision myself in the future. I write in present tense as if I am already there,(perhaps Ireland) I close my eyes, imagine and feel that I'm there... and it is so blissful. The law of attraction and manifestation is something I whole-heartedly believe in. Whenever I have crazy, intense or inspiring dreams I also write that down. Watching my family working hard & smart daily for their dreams is what inspires me. Maintaining a good relationship with my family whilst recieving their constant support has been so impactful, because after all, who you spend your time with most is who rubs off on you most. Getting to know myself better and becoming a better person each and everyday, looking back and reflecting and journaling on past experiences and emotions has really gotten me to understand myself better. I've realized that the only person you shoulf be comparing yourself to is the one you were yesterday, or even a year ago. Having so much time to myself during this quarintine has definitely had it's pros + cons (as most things).. I've found myself feeling more anxious than ever, feeling more lonely than ever, and in so much fear than ever with everything going on in the world amongst other personal things. Yet I decided to pull myself through and make the best out of what feels like long and dreary days. After all it's all about your mindset and outlook on life... it really is. 👁👄👁It's about the way you choose to interpret and react to life. I began all the projects and courses I never made time for, or never had time for. I found my true love❤️, my passion... which is music producing. And haven't felt this fulfilled like this in quite some time... the mini music studio I'm creating in my room is still in progress, and is about 75% done. I finished a photography course and bought a camera + gear, something I'd been wanting to do since I was about 8, and I began a videography course on Udemy, if you've never heard of it you should check it out, they have a variety of online courses for great pricing! I cleaned out my entire closet and just began planning designs for clothing of mine I'm going to flip and re sale on DePop and other sites such as poshmark, etsy, etc. I'm eventually going to create my own clothing business by simply reusing clothes I already have or thrifted and touching them up. I began to read more and watch more videos to further my education on various topics such as the environment, politics, physical + mental health, as well as products I've been using on my skin and hair!! (Everyone should definitely check out the Think Dirty APP) if you haven't already, for it has the list of ingredients in the beauty/skin care products you use or want to buy. It lists what harmful ingredients it may contain, etc. You would be veru surpised in what you find that you're using on your own hair or skin. I began watching more documentaries and high rated movies, for there is usually some sort of teaching in most of them, and knowledge is power. 90% of the time after watching a good movie or documentary there is always a lesson gained from it, something valuable that you can apply to the way you live life or to the way you look at life. For example, I recently finished 13 Reasons Why and although it was probably the most depressing series I've ever watched, I truly learned so much from it. One of my favorite lessons taught from it was in Clay's graduation speech when he basically says that no matter how low or depressed you're feeling to just remember to "keep moving", and to "choose to live...cuz even on the worst days there are people who love you, and there's new music out there for you, things that will blow your mind" and that entire speech really hit me hard, because it's true. These are words that haven't left my mind since. We often get so caught up in how we are feeling in the moment we forget that there's so much out there for us, there are people in our lives who love us truly and would do anything for us. There are so many things in life we have not yet seen or experienced that are meant for us to discover, see, and feel...and there are so many people out there who are meant to be in our lives and are meant for us.
