A lot of us need to hear some motivational words every now and then, to get us back on our feet. Even I need someone to tell me that I can achieve my dreams and become whatever I want. Rachel BlanchardPublished 6 years ago in MotivationBest Self Help Books for Women to Read
Self help is one of the very few book genres that tends to be stigmatized or even disregarded, despite it being an overall positive topic. The truth is that much of the disdain self help books get as a genre is due to the sheer number of books that sound helpful and uplifting, but only really deliver a light "feel good" rush that doesn't really help you do much of anything concrete.
Ossiana TepfenhartPublished 6 years ago in MotivationNew Year, New You
Everyone is currently engulfed in the warm glow of hope brought about by their New Year's resolutions, the dreams everyone has for the success and achievements 2018 will bring, the better, more accomplished, happier you that will inevitably emerge. I am thoroughly in support of setting goals and establishing a path to reach them, but not of these fleeting resolutions.
Treble RanchPublished 6 years ago in MotivationMy Greatest Fear
Death is not my greatest fear, but it has consumed my thoughts for as long as I can remember. I have no real reason to think about it to such an extent; none of my immediate family has passed away (only extended) and I am only eighteen years old. Maybe I watch too many gory movies and television shows... Maybe I'm paranoid on top of it, which does make sense—I'm quick to jump to conclusions about my health whenever something hurts or I learn of a new disease.

I don't even know where to start counting my blessings for 2017. Although I haven't had much of material things to boast, graces and blessings abound in terms of family, love, friends, and personal and emotional growth. This year gave me a number of reasons to say that life is indeed beautiful despite all its imperfections.
C.J.ErolanPublished 6 years ago in MotivationDay 1 - Finding Your Life Purpose
“Today is the first day of rest of your life” Charles Dederich. We start day 1 with Mr. Dederich’s quote purely because I do believe this is the first day of your real and designed life. And no – you don’t need to believe in a God, the Universe or fairies to read or participate in this course. Your beliefs are your own, and you can use them to help you on your exploration of self-discovery anyway you want.
Kellie WynnPublished 6 years ago in MotivationHow Creating a Vision Board Inspired Me to Dream
Lame and cliché title, I know. BUT! Hear me out, (please). A few years ago, my father and I were sitting in front of the television while I was visiting and, as per usual, we weren’t doing much. We weren’t really talking either, things have always been awkward between us so we just stay quiet most of the time. Anyway, I picked up the book he had laying on the coffee table, it read The Secret. I looked through the pages reading philosophical passages about this mysterious “Law of Attraction” and things like “The Law of Attraction is one of the most powerful laws in the universe. What you think about is what you bring about into your life. You can improve your life drastically by improving the thoughts that you dwell upon and the actions that you take.”

In a clouded mental space due to a collection of overwhelmingly draining processes like overthinking, overworking, excessive self doubt, and continued little prickly stabs of everyday inconveniences; breathing seems nonexistent. Having a easy day is rare and you become this cynical mess of inner destruction.
Antoinette JonesPublished 6 years ago in MotivationNew Year to Be Who You Really Want to Be
First let me start by saying Happy New Year! It's been one hell of a year for a lot of us and we've made it through. Barely, but we've made it right? We don't want to get into 2018 with a list of regrets from things that we did or didn't do in the past 365 days. We all had our issues with stuff this year. Different debates and changes that we had no control over. Some of us have dealt with death over and over again this year. I know that I don't want to roll into another year with the same struggles of these past moments in life.
Friday VibesPublished 6 years ago in MotivationGoodbye 2017, Hello 2018
Everyone has New Year's resolutions. Most of the time, their resolution is never achieved, or they give up in a month or two. I have failed my resolutions for 2017. I wanted to lose weight, have a steady job, and have my own home. Yeah, the big dream I am sure many people out there want, as well. The problem is that, when we don't succeed at these goals, we tend to focus on the failure rather than the lessons we have learned during the struggle.
