Lansoprazole~is a group of drugs called proton pump inhibitor that helps to reduce the amount of gastrointestinal acid secretion.

What health problems is Lansoprazole used to treat?

* To prevent and treat symptoms of gastrointestinal ulcers.

* To reduce the symptoms of burning sensation that occurs twice or more a week.

* To reduce the symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

* To prevent the symptoms of gastrointestinal acid secretion.

* To reduce the symptoms of gastrointestinal ulcers caused by NSAIDs.

* Helps treat symptoms of intestinal ulcers caused by H.pylori bacteria with antibiotics (H.pylori) and so on.

What should I know before taking Lansoprazole for treatment?

People who are allergic to Lansoprazole or similar drugs like pantoprazole,esomeprazole,omeprazole etc. or if we are taking any medicines containing Rilpivirine for treatment should not use this medicine for treatment.

People with health problems such as vitamin B-12 deficiency, osteoporosis, kidney disease, low blood levels of magnesium, potassium, sodium and calcium or low bone density , inflammation and injury joint due to immunity system errors disease or have been having injury in the body, liver, kidneys, heart, etc. and should not use this medicine for treatment.

Also, people who take Lansoprazole for treatment may experience the following problems such as....

* Difficulty or pain when swallowing Lansoprazole for treatment.

* Bloody or black-colored stools.

* Vomiting blood or things like brown powder.

* Heartburns have a duration of more than 3 months.

* Recurrent chest pain.

* Has weight loss.

* Nausea/vomiting ,stomach pain.

* Electrolyte imbalance and so on..et. should not be used lansoprazole medicine for treatment without the advice and prescription of a physician.

While taking Lansoprazole for treatment and if you are taking sucralfate for treatment, do not use the two drugs together at the same time, take at least a 30-minute difference in duration or take sucralfate after 30 minutes after taking lansoprazole.

Lansoprazole can cause bone fractures or weakness if used alone for a long time or more than once a day so we should use only when prescribed by health care.

If you experience symptoms similar to infection symptoms such as watery or bloody diarrhea while taking Lansoprazole for treatment, you should inform your health care provider before starting other medications to treat such symptoms.

Lansoprazole medicine can cause liver problems when you start taking this medicine so if you urinate less than before used it or see blood in your urine, you should notify your doctor immediately.

How should I take Lansoprazole medicine for treatment?

Listen and understand advice and use it exactly as prescribed by your health care .

Lansoprazole medicine should be taken every day on an empty stomach or in the morning before breakfast.

Shake and measure the liquid form of Lansoprazole medicine properly and take only the amount prescribed by the doctor for the specified amount of time.

Swallow Lansoprazole capsules whole without chewing, crushing or opening it.

Only remove shell from Lansoprazole Tablet when you are ready to swallow it and keep it in your mouth without chewing and swallow.

Adults who has gastric disease should take lansoprazole medicine dose in 24 hour intervals or in the morning on an empty stomach at the same time only once every day for a period of 14 days.

Lansoprazole can be taken 12 hours apart and 1 hour before meals twice a day or only once in the morning and evening with antibiotics to treat H.pylori bacteria cause disease in adults.

Once you start taking Lansoprazole for treatment, you should not stop taking it until you have completed the dose and you see improvement in your symptoms.

What are the side effects of Lansoprazole?

* Seizure.

* Headache.

* Nausea and vomiting.

* Causing dryness of the stomach.

* Small red spots scattered on the skin.

* Cause breaking or weakening of bones in our body.

* Diarrhea with water or blood in it.

* Pain in the arms, neck, seat or back.

* Joint pain.

* Men cannot keep their penis properly erect.

* Kidney problems such as fever, nausea,vomiting, little or no urine, bloody urine, swelling, weight gain and so on.

* If used for a period of 3 years or more, it can cause vitamin B-12 deficiency and so on.

Therefore, when you experience the above symptoms, you should stop taking the medicine immediately and go to the near health facility immediately and inform theirs health care providers.
