dating
All about dating. First dates, three years into a relationship, Tinder, and more.
The One
This is probably the most personal story I will ever write. Mainly because even some of the people I am closest to, don't know all the ins and outs of my feelings for this one person. I'm also not really one to talk about my feelings, I keep a journal and everything gets written down until I've exhausted every angle of it but to the world I tend to make jokes to cover up how I really feel about things. With guys, I like to play it cool and relaxed and pretend I don't have feelings until I pop which I know is super healthy...

Part I
It started in high school, I was a senior and he was a junior. We never met but we had mutual friends. One day we were in drama class and i caught him staring at me constantly, so i started asking his friends for his name, I couldn't stop thinking about him the entire day. His voice, accent, eyes, his swag it was all stuck in my head. When school ended i was looking for him to walk home with but he walked a different way then i did. I got home and went on fb to find him. I was so determined to find him, I started searching his name it was so difficult to find his name because he didn't upload many pictures of himself. I was friends with one of his homies so I texted his friend and asked "what's your friend name that be sitting with you in drama class?" He said "why you wanna know ?" I was low key getting annoyed because I wanted this boy more than he knew. I told him "I was tryna ask him a question". After a couple of tries with the friend he gave me his fb page. I quickly inboxed him like " hey you remember me? " after that we hit if off and were talking to each other all day in school and all day after school, we'd spend hours on the phone. I was starting to fall for him fast; he would buy me lunch and walk me home. We would go to each others house. The first day i went to his house I met his mom right on the spot she was nice, I saw his room and her house was so beautiful. When we go to my house l never let him come inside because my house looked nothing like his. I was embarrassed but I would play it off because I didnt want him to ask questions. When we went to his moms house we would watch tv, chill and eat I love every minute of that. After a few more months of dating I started to notice small things change and it made me put my guard up especially when he started to sneak me in his house. I would tell him how i was always hungry and how my mom house was unfit. When his mom found out he was sneaking me in her house, she quickly stopped it she said "you can come over but to stop sneaking in". But soon after her feelings changed she became disrespectful to me; I stopped coming over after while, since I wasn't coming to his house, he decided to come to mine. I finally let him come into my room. His mom started to get upset that her son was always at my house, she would tell him i'm a bad influence on him and i'm not right for him. The things she said really hurt my feelings, it made me feel self conscious and insecure but he didn't know that. I would have to argue with his mom just to talk to him, it was crazy. A year later, she found out I was pregnant because she was searching his room and found it under his mattress. She had told my grandmother, which lead to her telling my mom; when my mom found out she was hurt that the info didn't come from me. I told his mom that I wish she didn't do that but she only thought I was trapping her son. Eventually when the baby came, things got a bit more difficult. Our parents would start jumping down our throats about getting out the house and getting money. They would argue with us everyday about nothing, it got so bad we began to turn against each other and broke up.

Secrets From a Tarot Reader's Notebook
The Dating Game I get this over and over and over again in my professional practice. Women, who are otherwise intelligent and logical beings become irrational and unrealistic and anxiety ridden when the object of their affections becomes ambivalent, or worse, uninterested.

Jack & Tammy's First Date
This is Tammy and Jack’s first date together. They met at the Christmas party last week and exchanged phone numbers. Tammy is nervous. She hasn’t been on a first date in years. Neither has Jack, but he isn’t quite as nervous as Tammy. He’s halfway between feeling excitement at seeing Tammy again, and confused where in the hell to park his car. Good thing he left the house early.

A Life of Love
Chapter 1: Darren “Maggie, meet Darren. He’s in my fourth grade math class with me, do you want to play video games with us?” Allen said. “I’m okay, I’ll just play in the backyard on the swings.” That was the first time Darren and I met. We were friends since elementary school, even though I was in a private school and he was in a public school. My next-door neighbor’s name was Allen and we were very close as young children, he was the one to introduce Darren into my life around the age of ten. Allen was a year younger than me, as was Darren and his twin brother Clayton. Darren and Allen would always stay inside Allen’s house and play the game cube together while me and Clayton played outside on the swing set, climb trees and even find animals, alive and dead, in the woods between our two houses. I had always found Clayton easier to talk to than Darren simply because we shared more in common than Darren and I. That was, until, the day Darren and I went to the fair together. That day changed both our lives for the next six years.

And some are actually on it because they have a hard time meeting people and want a genuine connection. Well, let's just say I was in the right place for the wrong reasons.

Is single life better than with a partner?
Regarding singles, some people say that being single is more free, what do I want to do, no one interferes. Being single makes me concentrate on improving skills and making money, watching the increase in deposits, I feel not too good. Some people are bi or homo and may be single that they are not getting the right partner. However a bachelor life is free and can easily do whatever they want, with no questions, enjoy do dirty bachelor parties with stuff like erotic type edibles, smoke and drink, have one night stands and so on with full liberty.
