How COVID Has Effected my Long-Distance Relationship...
If some of you haven’t you’ve already read my first few posts, I’m in a long-distance relationship with my boyfriend who is in the Navy. This past December of 2020, I was going to go visit him. I had ordered my flight a couple of months before Japan had its travel restrictions. But the airline hadn’t update me about it. Not only that my flight was changed multiple times and Hopper (worse app to use like ever!) I couldn’t get in touch with them to change anything. So I hand to contact the airline.

8 Reasons To Hire A Matchmaker
For my first story I'm going to be talking about 8 reasons why you should consider hiring a matchmaker. A little about me: Hello! My name is LaRiccia and I am currently a certified matchmaker. I got introduced to matchmaking after replying to an ad for a matchmaker's assistant in October of 2020, and I was hooked ever since. I had no idea this was going to be my calling, but am very grateful for the opportunity to be able to help other people find their true love. My experience ranges from working in fine dining where I got to see first hand how much people enjoy going out on dates, to also having experience as a personal assistant for a man that called me the best personal assistant in the universe! A matchmaker is like a personal assistant for dating, which is right up my alley. My priority is to make sure you feel safe and feel comfortable sharing your personal information with me and that you can rest assured everything will be kept confidential and that you are on the right path to finding the right person for you.

How Do You Know Someone Is "The One?"
I've struggled with this question for years, especially when I started to seriously date and have relationships. I started having desires to get married when I was young, and it became my almost every thought: boys, dating, relationships, marriage, having kids. I actually thought something was wrong with me because of how often I had these thoughts and desires, especially with how young I was. I remember praying to God and going into scripture hoping to find something about me, almost directly, that I could apply to my life to answer the questions I had about who do I look for when it comes to my future husband, how do I know if he’s the right one for me, etc. And I’d end up becoming depressed because I felt God wasn’t helping me because I wasn’t getting the answers I was seeking as well as I was reading the Bible almost like a fortune cookie to help with my specific life when it’s really a narrative about Jesus and how he redeemed humanity. As I’ve grown up and my walk with Jesus has grown, my perspective on that question changed as well as what it really meant.

Doubtful Date Doings
If the night could get any colder, Jersey would have been renamed "Alaska Vol. 2!!" It was frigid, stifling, and at times, the wind blew with enough force to shake the windows. A night out in December isn't a joke, but what man would miss a chance like this?

A Woman's Worth
Chapter 5: It's Time to Learn my Worth Do you ever wake up one day and realize that enough is enough? Do you ever get tired of thinking that the person you love, will change? You just keep hoping that maybe this time he will get it or maybe this time he won’t put his hands on me anymore. Well, I thought the same exact thing with Steven, I haven’t been completely honest with myself or fair with myself at all. For some reason I pushed all the negative things Steven did to me, to the side. I kept telling myself that everything will be okay, “he is going to change” I used to say this to myself all the time. Well, I was completely wrong, and I am at a lost for words because I never saw any of this happening to me when I first met him.

Married by September 2021
October 10, 2020 I opened my eyes. The green flourescent numbers on the microwave read 3:36am. I'd only been asleep for 3 hours. I closed my eyes and the dream I'd been having started to come back to me in pieces: Tears in my eyes, but I was smiling; a beach in the background with white sands and turquoise waves gently crashing on the shore; "Forever...," he says; I can hear his baritone voice filled with love, but I cannot see him. I was dreaming of my wedding day. Somehow, my dream revealed the exact date. I couldn't see it or hear it but when I opened my eyes again, it was settled on my heart that I would be married on September 21, 2021.
