What if Your Partner Doesn’t (Intentionally) Grow Along With You?
Rivers of words have flowed depicting the all-powerful force of love. From the famous Corinthians quote Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. (1 Corinthians 13:4–8) to the great Bard himself - I love you more than words can wield the matter, Dearer than eyesight, space and liberty. (William Shakespear, King Lear — Act 1, scene 1)

Twin Flame or Trauma Bonded?
I couldn’t have been more wrong about what a Twin Flame is, and what they can be mistaken for. I’m still learning and I hope to continue to learn things often until the day I die. I just wish my wisdom and lessons came from less hurtful or negative things. I do know now for me to heal from narcissistic abuse and trauma bonding, I had to have this happen. The key is to remember this for the future, stop the cycle and, realize I can't help or save everyone especially someone as broken and evil as a narcissist.

From A Distance
I believe it’s important to make a strong first impression. Two years ago, I learned if you get it right, your life could turn upside down in an instant, and it could even alter your entire identity. One evening, as I was browsing through the Instagram account of a friend from my high school, I came across a photo that caught my eye. It was her with two other girls, and both of the other girls’ profiles were tagged in the caption. Both profiles had the same last name. Perhaps being a little too curious for my own good, I looked at their profiles, wondering who they were and how they knew my friend. One of these girl’s profiles stuck out to me, as her bio linked to a second Instagram page where she posted updates on her life as a type 1 diabetic. I knew I had to reach out to her, so I followed her diabetes update account and sent her a message through it.

Cut from a different cloth: A love triangle.
Cut from a different cloth: A love triangle Based on a true story Every night, I lay on this hard, wooden bed longing for the day that I can have Brandon all to myself. See, everything started off great. We used to do everything together. We started out in college back in 2004, down in Jefferson City, Tennessee. We were sitting in his room cutting out designs to put on T-shirts to sell at the party that he and his friends were throwing. The plan was for his crew to wear the shirts on campus for promo and charge $20 to whomever asked for a shirt. The day of their party it was a decent turn out but mostly everyone from his campus went 30 minutes up the road to the more popular University of Tennessee or “UT” for short. They even went. He left me behind, stating that I wasn't allowed in clubs. Although I’d liked to be by his side, I respected his boundaries and stayed home. When they returned later that night, I remember the uproar of excitement about how fun the strip at UT was. I heard about ten different voices talking about the cars, the women, the clubs...the atmosphere. It was electric. For many, this was their “coming out party” to coming out to parties. I’ve prepared and planned so many parties that it’s not that exciting to me anymore but the boys enjoyed themselves.

Apple Time Love
The trees in the orchard were heavy with ripe red apples. Crowds were gathering from all round the area for a chance to go apple picking on my grand dad’ Apple farm. Every week end during the summer months he opened it to visitors to experience the fun of picking apple off the trees and grand ma got a chance to sell her delicious apple pies. I had enough of the big city and decided a summer with them was just what I needed.

The Modern-Day Meet Cute
I make no secret of the fact that I'm a bit of a cynic when it comes to the "true love fairytale". Sure, it's out there. But I think it's the exception rather than the rule. That doesn't mean I'm not a sucker for a good love story that gives you the warm and fuzzies, though. I mean, I'm still human. Given a choice for my reading time, I will almost always opt for a romance novel over any other genre.

Being Forty
I can remember the elders saying to us teenagers graduating from high school, “Enjoy your life as much as you can and whatever you do, DON’T RUSH!.” Them bold, but true statements hit us hard as we got older. I would wonder why our parents would take their time and give us a fast no as well as modernly a slow yes at times. It’s funny how fragile life is when you don’t take time and see it thoroughly. Our parents surely did...that’s why they warned us way before we can make it out of high school going into college. We knew we want to set out on our own, but our parents knew more of life than what we hungered for.
